Mine is Crucial and I can vouch for it.

What would you guys recommend for a 7mm thick drive? I'm looking at the Samsung 830. Most SSDs are 9.5mm so it's kind of a bitch to find one that fits ultrabooks.

Samsung 830 is the way to go, sadly I didn't know that before getting my San Disk SSD. Also the 830 out performs the newer 840, which is crazy talk.

there's a firmware update for the Crucial M4 that saves it from dying a quick death. install it if you buy one!
edit: nm, mine is the last version with the mostly white label, which isn't on that list

They don't look that cheap for me. $98 for a Samsung 830?
