From now until the 26th
Flash Sales are back!
Walking Dead is the cheapest than its ever been and the last episode just came out.
KOTOR2 is $2.50. First time it has been on sale, I think. Recently a fan mod came out to 'complete' the game.
-
Darksiders 2 for $17!
XCOM for $33.
How are the Walking Dead games? Everyone has such nice things to say about them, but I hated the comic's relentless snuff.
-
Definitely getting KOTOR II, I've been wanting to play it since forever.
-
It looks like a lot of indie games are 40-50% off already, so I'd expect some 66%-75% deep cuts by the end of the sale. From my wishlist:
Half Minute Hero: 40% ($6)
Din's Curse: 40% ($6)
Anna: 50% ($5)
Giana Sisters: 40% ($9)
Hotline Miami: 25% ($7.50)
Jet Set Radio: 50% ($5)
Avernum Bundle 4,5,6: 50% ($6)
Mark of the Ninja: 25% ($11.24)
No discounts currently on:
Retro City Rampage, Thomas Was Alone
Finally, Skyrim has a default 33% discount at the start of the sale, so I'm hoping it hits 50% for the first time.
EDIT: GMG confirms Skyrim and Dishonored at 50% this Friday

lots of people make bad decisions but it's mostly side characters who practically shout "one episode wonders" so far
i grew dispirited by the comic but have enjoyed the game thus far.

TWG is currently in the upper tier running for GOTY.
-
i feel like a cheap bastard, but given my frustration issues, i'm gonna wait for xcom to hit $20
yeah, it's pretty obvious that kirkman emptied his idea bucket in the walking dead comic around 20 issues ago and is just treading water nowadays, but the game is really decent (other than typical adventure game control jank)
-
Got Walking Dead, KOTOR 2 and Critter Crunch.
Kinda disappointed Mark of the Ninja is only 25% off.

Yeah def.
-
Hmm, well at $12.50 I'll give it a try. I should say "hate" the comic's relentless snuff - first 3 arcs weren't so bad - but boy it went downhill fast

joe going for that complete Steam collection

:ohhh

Yea same here. I don't really have time to get sucked into a new game anyways.
-
those are mostly Magic unlocks
-
IF THE SIMS 3 SEASONS AND SUPERNATURAL GET CHEAP SOMEONE PLEASE GIFT THEM TO ME I WILL I PAY YOU BACK SOME HOW
-
Seasons is still 40 dollars. Noooooooooooo :(
-
Is Walking Dead worth trying if you are sick of zombies, have never read the comic/seen the show, and aren't huge into adventure games?
Maybe I'll pick up Hotline Miami. Gameplay looks kinda weak in it but I've heard people say I'd really like the music in it.

Hold off on Hotline until the last day. Anything that isn't a flash or daily deal could always become cheaper during a flash or daily deal.
Walking Dead isn't much of an adventure game. It's closer to a visual novel or Heavy Rain where it's about the choices you make. The game is at its worse when it becomes a 'game' and relies on QTEs and stuff. Most of it is talking with people, making decisions, and dealing with the consequences...it's more interesting than it sounds. And Walking Dead in general is about the human drama of surviving the zombie apocalypse, more than the actual zombies. It depends on what aspect of zombie fiction you're sick of.
-
Holding out for the holiday sale, hoping Xcom and Borderlands 2 will be decently priced
(also I'm broke as fuck right now :-\)
-
Still have too much games from the last couple of sales that I haven't played so I'll only bite for great deals. The games I really want like X-Com or Dishonored probably aren't going to be cheap enough.
-
No. It was like 20-30 dollars during steam sale.
-
you could always wait for the christmas sale, might drop a couple more dollars
-
What's for sale? I'm at work so I can't check it out.
-
Ill get xcom next year for 10 :-[

Yes, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it. It's not really a traditional adventure game, more like an interactive story. I've only read the first chapter of the comics and I've not seen the TV show yet. Zombies are just the setting, the interesting part is the interaction between the living characters.
-
Fuck a steam sale, buy Amazon (if it works on Steam)
Tony has said they will be matching Steam
-
Demi Sims 3 Seasons is 20 dollars on Amazon does that mean I can buy on Amazon and get a Steam code?
-

No, only some stuff works on Steam. Sims doesn't.
-
Noooooooooooooo
Guess it's wait for the xmas sale for me. :(
-
BTW, just beat The Walking Dead and it was OMG SOOOOO GOOD GOTY SQUEEEE!
BTWx2, most of that stuff I bought was DLC padding bullcrap for MtG. :lol
-

If a game is Steam redeemable, you can use your key on there.
-
So Dishonored should be $25 on Friday?
Trying to get Gods & Kings from GMG with their extra 20% code but it's not working. Will have to do some address shenanigans with my amazon account then.
-
Getting invalid for that one, which is weird because I used it the day before on Spec Ops
-
It's not hard, I'm just lazy.
-
Sorted it, GMG20-1FYLZ-EDG8R is the new code. Ended up being $8.
-
Here's a site that lists all the patches and such that you need for KOTOR 2, since I noticed that several people here bought it:
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic_II_%E2%80%93_The_Sith_Lords
-
got Walking Dead, Kotor II (played about 20hrs of this on Xbox back in the day and basically enjoyed it despite many many flaws, keen to see the patched version), and the Amazing Spiderman game for 50% off (probably won't play it seriously but the kid will likely enjoy swinging around for a bit).
-
I bought Walking Dead even though I probably won't play it before it's 75% off in a few months >_<
Since I'm only getting through like 1 game a month these days, there's really not much point in buying things that aren't at 75%. Sadly that means I will not be buying Hotline Miami this sale.
-
steam wont allow me to use their store since i'm currently living in europe and all my credit cards and bank accounts are from the united states. i'm too scared to even try using a vpn or proxy to get around the issue since i know as of late they've been banning users who use that work around. i'll be contacting customer support but i'm positive the sale will be over before they even get to my message. i just want unity command and cargo commando... and maybe a million other things
uguu~

So, like, I had the same problem since I live in South Korea but my card is registered in Canada. All I did was enter my Canadian address as normal, but changed my country to SK... for some reason that works and I've never had a problem. Consider it.
-
What say ya'll about Two Worlds II + DLC for $7.49?
I enjoyed my 30 hours or so with it, but it's full on euro jank. Horse controls are weird and you can easily goof up your build to make yourself way under-powered for your current objectives.
-
Walking Dead is fucking amazing, and this is coming from a guy that hates the show and never read the comics.
-
What's wrong with the show? I was planning to start watching it this weekend.
-
First few eps just rubbed me the wrong way. Don't take my opinion as any sort of authoritative statement. You might love it!

nill. i contacted steam but i'm sure customer support is on holiday, that is if it isn't out sourced. thanks for the tip eitherway.
-
Max Payne 3 for $15 right now.
-
Today's sale...wow
I don't think you can get worse than this lol
-
this is the worst of the four major sales probably.
1.) Winter
2.) Summer
3.) Spring
4.) Autumn
-
It ain't that bad if you wanted to score the Skyrim DLC for half-off. Bethesda is stingy about Skyrim since it's such a success.
Still, this is the Thanksgiving sale. Winter sale will be better.
-
Pretty shitty deals. The only thing that looks appealing to me is Sleeping Dogs for $25 but since that game is considered a bomb, I'll wait a few months before it hits $10 or less.
-
only things left that i want are xcom and the skyrim dlc (maybe the SR3 season pass, but that has gotten so-so reception), and i can wait until the winter sale or beyond for those
-
i also want far cry 3 but the chances of that going on sale after christmas are probably pretty slim
only buying stuff i am 100% certain i will play from now on
-

Yeah I still have dozens of steam summer games I have to go through :-\
Anyone who thinks about going all out on these sales, just go to my steam thread
-
Haven't really seen anything worthwhile. To be honest, the amazon deals have been better for me over steam in the last year or so.
-
Got Anna and To The Moon
-
Deponia for me today, since its apparently a fairly decent 2D point-and-click adventure game.
-
What's wrong with the show? I was planning to start watching it this weekend.
ff through a lot of season one and half of season two, season three has been boss so far
-
fuck it, i'll get hotline miami at this price.
this looks like it'll be way better than that turd Retro City Rampage. what a fucking handjob that game is.
-
Thanks InfectedGib for the free Torchlight 2! I'm actually really looking forward to playing it. Loved Torchlight 1 and D3!
-
:drudge
Well, I can't activate either of these.... SO PM YER UNCLE CORMAC IF YOU WANT A FREE STEAM CODE FOR DISHONORED AND / OR DARK SOULS
:drudge
-
If you got them from Greenman Gaming, don't give up on the customer service people just yet. They're very slow but helpful...in time.
-
Dishonored was from GMG...it's been 24hrs-plus but I guess Black Friday has got to be insanely busy. Maybe I will wait a bit then.
Dark Souls is up for grabs though - can't see me getting a refund on that given their stated restrictions (US only, which I cheated around with a US address...).
-
i got it off of him

I'll take Dishonoured if you still have it. Edit: just saw you are waiting on that one. I need to learn to read.
-
Hotline Miami is $5.
-
Hotline Miami is $5.
bought :rock
-
How much is Dark Souls?
-
It's €26.79 in Europe.
-
Maybe I'm crazy but I want this for a five or tenner, since I already tried it on Xbox.
-
Same here. Especially considering it's a shoddy port.
-

It's way better than the console versions once you drop in the DSfix.
-
i just bought chivalry from GMG for 15
me = stupid
-
Traded some TF2 swag for Chivalry and Mark of the Ninja. :bow2
-
Same here. Especially considering it's a shoddy port.
everything you could possibly want fixed in it is fixed. except GFWL.
i put 90 hours into that shit and every last second was amazing.
-
Sure, but if I have to fix it myself I'm not willing to pay as much.
-
Hotline Miami is $5.
bought :rock
Me too, pretty cool.
-

Looks cool and will run on my shitty laptop. Bought.
-
Game is great, and its soundtrack is amazing. But it also suffers from crashes which prevented me from finishing it.
-
I downloaded Hotline Miami to try it out and get back to work. I ended up playing for over an hour :-\
Game is really fun. That damn dog kept messing me up.
-
just pop out of a door and beat that dog, or shoot it. Theres also a mask that makes dogs ignore you.
-
Yep, I'm using that mask. Dogs are assholes.
-
borderlands 2 and Hotline Miami are mine. Still want Dishonored for 50% off tho
-
Might work i guess. Steam Guard would pick it up of course, but so long as I gave them the code it might work.
-
The GMG twitter acct did have something about them running out of Dishonored keys...maybe they dipped into the wrong batch or something. No big deal, got lots more stuff to play than I have time of course. Hotline Miami :bow
-
Borderlands 25 hngngngngn that will teach me to buy shit when it comes out. It came out like 2 months ago ffs!
-
Bought Hotline Miami last nite the minute before I left my house to go see Eric Prydz. Will try it today, once I wake up a bit...
-
You will loooooveeeee the music.
-
Orcs Must Die 2 probably won't be cheaper. At least, I don't know how often these cheaper games drop the standard price. If you can find 3 others who want it, it comes down to $2.50 a copy.
Civ 5 Gods and Kings might be the cheapest it has been so far. Can't remember.
also, everything Batman is 75% off. If you don't care about the DLC you can get Arkham City for $5.
-
>Never beat Orcs Must Die 1
>Still want to buy OMD2
I'm addicted to Steam sales. :'(
-
Man these sales, I told myself I wouldn't buy anything over $5. That way I could just skip coffee for a day and make up for it. But today there's like 4-5 games I wan't... Gonna get that Orcs Must Die 2 set most likely though.
I got hotline miami and haven't even played it yet.
-
Anyone buy Don't Starve?
I want to know if it's good or not before I start trying to buy a key. Looks like it could be the next big game people are playing on YouTube.
I like it a lot, but keep in mind that it isn't finished and constantly changing. If you'd like, there's a free trial to play with for Google Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dont-starve/hiledapehlkhdehbhppgmekfalnlfajc) so you can see for yourself.
-
bought a little over 20 games so far :rainy
-
I haz Dishonored at last, thanks to the 50% off sale on the J store :bow gaben :bow2
I have cleared the 300 games mark in less than 2 yrs of serious Steam Sale abuse :) / :'(
-
If you guys want some Orcs Must Die 2 co-op play let me know! Love that game.
Batman Arkham City for $7.50 today, why buy a Wii U?
-
I haz Dishonored at last, thanks to the 50% off sale on the J store :bow gaben :bow2
Goddamn, I hate being broke. :'(
-
Surprisingly, I think Chivalry is my favorite game from this sale. The combat is pretty good (decapitating someone :omg) and the developers seem like bros
The only downside is that there is hardly any content, but apparently the devs are working on that and on a SDK.
-
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I mean who am I kidding? by the time I end up playing it'll be worth $2.50-$5.00 :lol
-
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I mean who am I kidding? by the time I end up playing it'll be worth $2.50-$5.00 :lol
That has happened to me with both Batmans :(
-
For some games, I kinda feel that $5 a year after release is gonna do the developers absolutely dick-all in terms of funding the next interesting game and just pay up even though I know I'm tossing my money down the toilet
-
Mirror's Edge is totally worth €2.99.
-
I recently bought Witcher 2 during the summer sale for $16 and haven't played it yet :'(
if anyone picks it up, remember that you can redeem a DRM-free GoG version here: http://www.gog.com/witcher2/backup
-
Giana Sisters is $9 today.
-
if you dont own the witcher 2 and you dont buy the witcher 2 then guess what? you're a bad person and deserve to die
-
I'm gonna get Witcher 2.
Total haul:
Witcher 2
Nailed this Steam sale. Just nailed it.
-
Time to get Binding of Isaac, $1.74
