Wow I just had this realization, that maybe the reason the wii sold so much was cause people couldn't afford new HDTV and a HD console. :lol :lol :lol No wonder they defended that console so much.
32" is fine if you're in a small room.

fuck that. 46" over here and it's being used as my pc screen so its sitting roughly 2 feet away from me.
BADASS.

That can't be healthy
the issues with eye strain are overblown from what I've read and mostly associated to office environments with improper lighting.
My room is always dark and there's no glare. I have my screen set to warm hue and the brightness is lower.
I don't deny that I'll probably need glasses when I get older but I don't think it's much of a big deal to me.
I'm still on my 42" Panasonic plasma that I bought at the end of 2007 just before getting a 360.
Not at all, the picture looks just as great as it did back then. My parents got a 55" Samsung LCD for their livingroom last year and the picture quality doesn't compare to my plasma.I'm still on my 42" Panasonic plasma that I bought at the end of 2007 just before getting a 360.
Has the color dimmed in it considerably over the years of usage? I'm so freaked out about my plasma I purchased this year. Its freaking beautiful. But I've already had so many issues with Borderlands 2 and image retention. I almost want to take it back or dump it to get a LED. Then I hear that over time the cells degrade and no longer keep accurate color representation.

I had image retention problems too fir the first couple of months that I had it, but they all went away eventually. I was paranoid about that too. What brand is your tv?
i'm probably further away then i claimed. i'm generally bad with distance.
My first HDTV was a 26 inch Westinghouse. I bought a cheap $20 rolling TV cart so I could roll it closer to the couch :lol
I'm still on a 37" Vizio from 2007. It's only 1366x768, but I can crank most of my PC games up to max settings at that res.

Obliv you should have gotten in on those $99 deals on the PS 3D displays on Black Friday. I am using two on a multimonitor setup and they're great.
