I dunno, I was pretty nuts for Super Street Fighter II on SNES, I mean BONKERS
-
Comix Zone on my Genesis.
-
Yeah, I think Super Street Fighter II made me want a SNES pretty bad back in the day.
-
Comix Zone on my Genesis.
An awesome game.
Genesis on the whole didn't do it for me due to the lack of color on screen and that shit sound chip, but it did have a handful of honestly fantastic games.
-
I played Revenge of Shinobi when I was 7 and I was totally amazed by the graphics and sound. Still a great game!
-
Sonic the Hedgehog :bow
-
Super Mario Kart.
First multiplayer game I ever played.
-
Ghouls and Ghosts on the Genny. It's actually a terrible port from the arcade, but OMG OMG OMG nonetheless.
-
F-Zero for the SNES
-
R-Type 3 ( I still cant beat it though :( )
or maybe
Megaman X ( Lots of explosions and the music is still in my head! )
-
F-Zero, then it was Contra III, Axelay and Super Mario Kart. Probably.
-
I couldn't believe how colorful and vibrant Super Mario was when I first played it.
-
Motorstorm
-
Axelay blew me away, too.
-
BLOWN AWAY
-
Sonic. So fast, my eyes could barely keep up with what was happening on the screen.
-
A wierd one for me.
James Buster Douglas Boxing

For 1989-90, that was pretty amazing graphics. My friend had this game, Altered Beast and Montana's Football for his Genesis. I picked one up for Christmas of the same year.
-
I haven't been blown away by any 16-bit games but I'm still surprised how much further ahead Super Metroid was beyond the rest of the 16-bit offerings in both concept and execution. Amazing game that makes me wonder why people put up with shit like Metroid Prime.
-
Probably playing Final Fight on the SNES. It's hard to pick just one, though. It was a great era for gaming.
-
for me it was seeing altered beast for the first time at "good guys". i had to do a double take to make sure there wasn't an arcade cabinet around, it looked so fucking amazing. and sonic of course. =] i would've said super mario world but that came later.
