Post 'em :punch
Mine:
1) Pay off all debts - this will be the easiest since it's all set up and ready to go to do that next week
2) Start my MBA in the Fall - got a 720 on my GMAT in a practice test I took this month, if I study my ass off for the next two months, hopefully I can get over a 750. A 750 should more than compensate for my shaky undergraduate academics
3) Jack off to even more pornography than I do now
4) Play more video games and clear my existing backlog of games
5) Spend less time on the internet (lol, yeah right) but I'm going to need to do this in order to reach my other goals
6) Build a "media center" PC for my TV - will most likely use tax refund monies for that
7) Continue my pace of reading books (50+)
Nothing too ambitious, keeping the bar low.
-

-

Fuck a broad whilst under the influence of top-shelf MDMA. If I do that it will be a successful year.

Move in (and possibly more :o ) with the better half
Save a bunch of money for my US trip in June
Build a PC (holdover from 2012 due to my costing me a bunch of money late last year)
Also watch Prole have his way with PD
-
become a hermit
fall off the grid
-
Keep Running, eventually try for a half marathon
Eat Better - more like stop eating fast food
Try for all A's the next couple semesters
Cut down on alcohol
Read more books
Start learning Spanish again. This is a long shot and probably not going to happen
-
-avoid making and committing to resolutions
-
Public resolutions always feel like people telling me in some subtle way how IM supposed to be ;)
Really the worst part of the new year are the resolutions- cause you basically have two months of people being uncharacteristically ALPHA- creating chaos and making noise- and while its totally cool that some people are Alpha on a regular basis, not everyone is cut out to be.
-
- laugh at everyone who breaks their resolutions
-
-lose more weight, can be easy , going to try to hit my target of 150
-join the police academy next winter if I don't go to college
-release two albums of music (should be easy)
-learn how to ollie
everything should be easy to do, I set realistic resolutions. good luck folks :)
I say we make a game out of it though and promise to donate $25 a resolution to a charity that isn't fukkin childs play if we break them. Anyone down?
-
i'm down
-
Im ahead of you- already have monthly donations to charities set up through my employer- no need to do anything ambitious for the new year *kicks feet up*
-
Pretty much what Creepy Old Guy said...
-
so just donate more lets decide on a charity no videogames please
-
-join the police academy next winter if I don't go to college

-
MrG: Crackin open the IPA tomorrow night- aww yeahhh
Sweet! It could be absolutely terrible (ie. hops have totally faded), so there are no hard feelings if it's a drain pour. I'll have fresher stuff next time I see my buddy whose house we brew at.

My only real concern is that its a good sized bottle and im a lightweight these days- but im not really a beer snob- don't have the experience to be
-
You'll know if the hops are faded. It will be overly sweet.
ABV is around 7.5%, so pretty standard for an IPA.
-
1. Ride in my first 100 mile bike race.
2. Go from drinking 3 to 4 cans of soda a day to drinking no more than 1 can a day.
-
1. Find something more enjoyable / challenging than this shitty sysadmin job I get more entrenched in year after year.
2. Dust off the skills necessary to complete #1.
2. Go from drinking 3 to 4 cans of soda a day to drinking no more than 1 can a day.
Completely cut out soda, etc. last year, so much easier after the first few weeks. I don't really drink much outside of water and the occasional beer these days.

Stay with current GF.

Clean more often.

- Learn how to cook better/healthier meals.
- Finish up my last semester at uni.
- Get me and my brother's webcomic up and running on the internet.
- Start working on t-shirt designs.

- Begin saving up for my move to the Pacific Northwest.
-
I'm bumping this to make Lager look silly.
-
Yeah its that time!
This year will be pretty boring compared to last I guess, no big trips planned, no moving jobs or cities, no getting engaged.
Will try to save money for the wedding, buying a house, honeymoon, having a kid... Moving to a new appartment thats one bedroom so we can save quicker. Got an amazing place with sea views from every room now and a guestroom but Im not going to subsidize guests any longer (well lease is up in September).
Will also try to get a promotion at work and move into a 100% sales position, drink less beer (which will help me lose weight and save money). Less going out for dinner (now we go to nice restaurants every week.)
All the holidays will prob be friends/family visits too, although my parents invited us to stay with them in Spain in summer where they always rent a nice home so that will be cool besides that gotta go to holland, denmark, poland and england too.
Hope that by years end there will be a warchest again and the living more frugal thing will work out and me and my fiancee wont kill ourselves saving every penny.

I almost pulled the trigger on buying concert tickets. 120/per for a good seat was too much.
-
Let's see how I did...

7) Continue my pace of reading books (50+)
Nothing too ambitious, keeping the bar low.
1) Yep, got this done. Finally debt free!
2) Started the MBA program in the fall.
3) Yep, jacked off to a bunch of porn. I also started downloading porn videos again. I kept finding instances where videos I wanted to jack off to again/later were getting deleted. There are a couple of porn stars I like to jack it to that apparently does a good job of having their pirated content deleted.
4) This was a failure here as I played less. I cleared most of my backlog by getting rid of my games. My Steam collection remains huge but I haven't purchased a game on Steam in months because of that. No sense buying games I'm never going to play, even if it is $1-2.
5) I succeeded here, I did spend a lot less time on the internet. The Bore is really the only forum I bother going to these days and I have a small handful of websites I check out throughout the week.
6) I failed here because I realized buying a media center PC was going to be a waste of money. Then again I re-U'd :derp
7) According to a list I have, I read 43 books. So I will fail here but not by much.
-
1) Get dat PELL GRANT money
2) Keep up with school
3) Lose some fucking weight and keep it off
4) Eat healthier (goes with #3)
5) Maybe get laid if I can find a ladyfriend with minimal complications (not so important, honestly, I can just keep jerking it)
1) Did not happen, but that's ok.
2) Did just fine here. Next semester is my last.
3) I probably lost 15-20 lbs slowly over the year just by cutting out sugary drinks and walking a bunch. I can do better, though.
4) Marginal success here, but again I can do better.
5) Lots of making out with various women but no horizontal bop.
Still, this was a shitty year. 2013 can go eat a bag of dicks.
-
-Start saving money again
-Improve with cooking
-Return to the gym
-Get a g/f
50% success rate for me... next year I'll try again with the 'saving money' and 'return to the gym' ones.
-
1) Work up the courage to by a fleshlight
2) Become a magician
3) Make magic
Well two out of the three isn't bad.

5) Get more pussy.
Still can't cook to save my life.
Also played almost no vidya this year other than a roll in the hay with Street Fightern from time to time and a Dark Souls playthrough. Next year I resolve to play even less (other than Dark Souls 2).

-Spent more money than I wanted to this year.
-My father and I are still working on it, but we're getting better at conversing with one another.
-Only went to see my Grandfather a few times this year and didn't surprise him with an Xmas visit. I feel really bad that I didn't have more time to visit him, but I'm planning to see him soon.
-Found out a few things that were preventing us from having kids. We continued to try, but in the past few months we kind of gave up. Maybe that's for the better right now.
-Connections were made and locations were scouted, but alas no wedding plans have moved forward.
-
-make money
-play vidya games

two out of three

- Start "slow carb" diet. Only have about 10 lbs to lose so it won't be such a big deal.
- Learn how to cook better/healthier meals.
And here I sit 15 lbs heavier than I was at the beginning of the year. :derp
- Finish up my last semester at uni.
This was bound to happen.
- Get me and my brother's webcomic up and running on the internet.
This isn't going to happen any time soon seeing how busy we are most of the time.
- Start working on t-shirt designs.
And so much for that. ::)
- Research automated business models.
Guess I was still on my Tim Ferris and Tony Robbins high when I wrote this. :wtf
- Get a decent apartment.
Maybe next year. :'(
- Begin saving up for my move to the Pacific Northwest.
Eh...
smh :goty
-
1. Cook more
2. Get promoted again
3. Eat more ass

3. :goty2
-
Eat more gluten
I killed my resolution
bread :noah
-
-avoid making and committing to resolutions

I lost a lot of weight and got very healthy after it. I got supplements for the things you don't get from a vegan diet. Then I remembered I live on Earth where there's a lot of good shit that isn't vegan to eat.
