Title: Retro modding - OG GBA with backlit screen!

For those who still break out their GBA once in a while but hate the lack of screen lighting, a guy has started selling a kit that puts a SP+ backlit screen into an original GBA for $75. (http://rosecoloredgaming.wordpress.com/2012/12/02/gba-backlight-kits-are-officially-for-sale/) Light soldering experience necessary, though, and obviously the price is for the dedicated retro gamers out there. Still, I know people who think the original GBA was the best handheld form factor Nintendo made.

That's going to to be the general consensus about this thing. It's definitely aimed at nostalgia/diehard retro gamers/people who don't like the hand cramping SP form factor.

I still play the Final Fantasy and Advance Wars series every so often and the original GBA was always more comfortable.
