Loved the game, thought it was unique as all hell and I'm glad to see you're enjoying it, Borys!

I have started and stopped this game many times. I'll prob play it one day...
-
I started and stopped playing it once. Same with Last Remnant. I liked what I played of both though. I really should give them another shot.
-
I thought this game was very disappointing. Don't forget that you can get infinite money by buying and selling items at the shop. I forget which ones.
-
One of the few console JRPGs from the past generation worth mentioning. And the story/cutscenes are some of the best ever.

lol, please come back when you finish.
-
Don't have to - it's wrong.
-
The arena is way too repetitive and I got bored with it about halfway through IIRC. That priest battle was tough, but I got him eventually. I'm interested to hear what you think of the game once you complete it.
-
Yeah, the arena is one huge, easy, and incredibly boring grind. I wouldn't do it unless you want the achievement/trophy. Fun game though, I think it was the last RPG that I really liked.
-
lulz
-
I agree, arenas are pretty great, when done correctly (large enemy variety, good challenge, good rewards.)
-
Tales arenas are the best ones I've seen yet. They throw in a ton of cameo battles in the higher fights.
-
which Tales game is the best for that? Graces f? I have Tales of the Abyss 3DS, but I don't know if I'll get into it.
-
Depends which game's battle system you like. Graces F doesnt really include characters from the games that came overseas like Abyss.

Abyss. Good cast and fun battle system. The pacing sucks and you will constantly revisit certain places for stupid reasons(Back to Baticul!), but well I mean if you enjoy the cast enough I guess it won't matter.
I didn't like Vesperia since everyone beside Yuri was god awful, but it has better pacing and possibly a more refreshing story. Combat is about the same honestly. Game also looks great.
Haven't been able to finish Graces F. Game is pretty ugly and the cast sucks. Gameplay is a bit better then the other 2 even if you don't have free movement, but dodging is more of a thing here. I think the game is'nt as long and well dosen't feel like there's much backtraking after the prologue.
I liked Abyss the best myself.
-
I destroyed those Yetis in the Arena :rock 350 battles done, must continue the story forward in order to unlock more Arena battles. Challenge 35 was pretty funny - normal enemy was this gigantic Semitruck Golem while the Arena Boss was a single goblin :lol.
Only 3 Arena Bosses left - 40, 45 and 50. Hopefully they will be pretty easy!
I think it was the battles at level 45 that gave me the most trouble... whatever one was the tanks that you can only damage when they're open, those things are annoying. The 50th boss is really easy.

This doesnt answer the question at all, btw.

Yeah I'm an idiot. I read everything wrong.

I really really really want to play this. It will be the next game I purchase. I see there are cheap copies kicking around online
-
Of course
I finished every JRPG except Star Ocean and those shitty Aksys SRPG games (Spectral Force 3, Agarest War)
-
Did you finish Infinite Undiscovery in the end? It's in my pile
-
I said every JRPG

If you want to play it in the original Klingon, I can find you a J-copy. Probably won't run on your PALbox though.
edit: Actually, shit, there may by PAL copies at the import store. Let me know if you're interested.

My moon language is pretty poor, but if you could have a look for a copy going for chump change in English that would be great! US version is region free so it will work on my box. Thanks! Local copies range from around 30-40 NZD, so I'm sure you can find it for less than half that

If I was in the USA, yes I could probably find a copy for less than popcorn costs at a movie theater. However, since I'm in Japan, the import games are maybe about the same as your NZ prices listed. I'll keep an eye open though!
-
No luck! Neither PAL nor USA versions at Ota-Road's single import store. I'll keep an eye open.
-
Ah, the famous Polish "pistol binoculars." I've heard of those.
-
:heart :heart :heart mai waifu :heart :heart :heart

Run from the tar men... they are beatable but take a bit too long and by that point the exp rewards just aren't worth it. I got through Neverland by only fighting the battles I absolutely needed to win. Sullivan and Rebekah weren't hard they just took a while to beat... overall it (along with Radiata Stories) is one of the easiest tri-Ace postgames.
Very glad you enjoyed the game! It's certainly one of the most original games I've played lately, and I loved loved loved the characters!
-
Its actually not bad. Just do all the story mission. You will blaze thru it.
