I use this site to get updates on LE vinyls:
http://www.slyvinyl.com
some other good sites to buy weird colored recoreds:
http://www.fatbeat.com - Hip hop, but good prices and laods of WOAH records.
http://www.kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records/?id=19 - Punk Records
http://www.discogs.com the ultimate source for records
otherwise buy them from Amazon or MusicDirect or your local store m8s.

I just moved my last four crates and my SL-1210 to the basement. Digital is where it's at.
-

Love the look and feel and a lot of electronic tunes I buy are still vinyl only. I have to admit that I don't really hear the 'warm' sound and am a bit bothered by the crackling of vinyl. Another downside is changing sides, especially on double LPs not really good for hearing an album through. I kind of want to go back to buy cds.
-
That's a sweet album man, jealous! :)
I should probably get around to buying a decent turntable one of these days.
-
ya switching sides is shite and thank you it is a nice lookin album
-
I got a collection of about 50 that I paired down from about 115 or so. That's about 50 different artists aside from a couple that I have multiple albums of...got a bunch of stuff off TriAngle Records, hippos in tanks recs and related, the Flaming Lips warner bros. collection, some Stereolab, Flying Lotus, some Talking Heads, Horace Silver Quintet. I'm picky about what I pick up, mostly stuff that I don't think I'll be able to come by later. For now, I don't want complete discographies of anyone, but once I get somewhere permanent, it's on.
Gonna pick up that new Autechre for sure.
-
Dots and Loops just got remastered and re-released this week on vinyl. dats my favorite one and was considering getting it
-
Oh yeah, I forgot they were doing remasters...Emperor Tomato Ketchup and Dots + Loops. Two that I own, shit. I also have Cobra, but the one I really want is Sound-Dust. I've come close to dropping some bucks on it, but I'm confident it'll get a reprint at some point, just like Boards of Canada's discography.
-
Isn't the original Dots _ Loops green and white vinyl? The new release is just black :(
-
yep, there's a green and white pressing (which i have) and there was a black repress, iirc. but white is the worst possible color for vinyl. Looks cool, but annoying to dust off and assess condition.
the weirdest thing I own is this:

lol that is actually kinda rad. how is it as a listen?
http://www.discogs.com/collection?user=methodis
theres my collection. rarest thing is just Odelay I guess
-
I managed to get my mom's collection - lots of Marvin Gaye, Shaft, Superfly, stuff like that.
-
I have some stuff, mainly electronic music. Saw Truant/Rough Sleeper today in a record shop, will prolly pick that up once I have some disposable money.
-
i have nothing better to do, might as well setup a discog.
-
methodis, you should use UGHH as well as Fat Beats. FB, I've noticed, is somewhat limited in what they carry nowadays

that is a sick website thank you will be purchaisng loads :o

it's neat to look at but not very practical for listening :lol
I have that Odelay ORG too! It's pretty good. The Sea Change ORG is one my favorites. and I see they just released Sea Change on pink vinyl for RSD, their first colored vinyl release.
Man, I hate it when good stuff comes out on RSD. I think I hate RSD in general. it's such a fucking hassle!
-
I'm slowly building up a collection seeing that there are many releases out there that have tracks exclusive to vinyl.
Got this signed LP along with the CD a few months ago.

It is beautiful.
-
holy shit that album is awesome. want.
also ya don i want that pink sea change and fuck RSD. i literally dont live near any records store unless i wanna travel 3 hours
fucking SUCKS
because I want the re-release of At The Drive In's albums that are coming out exclusively on RSD
-
Vit do you have a link to that band, I can't find it on google
-
it's a compilation under Microbe Recordings from 2001. appears to be some kind of underground japanese electronic music label? That's enough to get me curious, off to see if it's on what.
edit: it's not on what.cd, congrats, that's only like the 3rd time that's happened in years of using what.cd.
-
damn. thats a rad cover. its not even on discog
