Yoshichan to sell his house.

Few thoughts:
1. I rolled my eyes at the translation. That happens any time I read anything related to Mue 3. I'd rather have HD versions of 1 and 2 and making an effort to modernize them (ie. Yakuza 5 lighting system and shadows).
2. This kick starter could work if Suzuki limits the Shenmue scope. I'd be fine with that. Make it a graphic adventure in line with Walking Dead Seeing as how Mue is already an adventure title. Playing Walking Dad's demo, I was reminded if Shenmue's detail and personal feel. With a limited scope like that game, Shenmue 3 is more than possible and I think this kick starter could fund it.
-
The kickstarter would probably have a hard time covering voice acting/localization costs alone for a full sequel. Plus he'd have to license the game from Sega.
-
I don't really care if Shenmue III never happens. I've made my peace with that and don't really care. If it happens, it happens; if it doesn't...oh well. I'm completely fine with 1 and 2.
Now Suikoden VI however makes me thoroughly sad and angry any time I think about it.
I don't care about Shenmue III. You guys would save a lot of effort and trolling not even mentioning it around me because I find fan efforts for that game just as hilarious as you guys.
-
Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but every time it's brought up in interviews, doesn't Suzuki respond to the notion of a Shenmue 3 with ambivalence at best?
However, anything that keeps the tards hopes alive only to see them dashed again and again is a-ok with me!

Very good point. Still, I think if the scope were limited it could probably happen. A big probably.
-
This will end hilariously as always
-
Can't wait to hit the Dojo for fun times later.

My dream game is Suikoden VI post-III on the timeline directed and written by Murayama. If I were a billionaire I would give 50 million to that game. Real talk.

3-5 million no problem :lol

I wonder what really happened to that last Suikoden game. I think the budget got eaten up by MGS4, but we'll never know.
-
Probably. Even more reason to hate that shit game. Worst game of all time.

Not a joke, not a Borys thread! Oh wait...

What was so good about Shenmue, again? I had a dreamcast mainly for shoot em ups and fighting games back in the day.
-
It was super detailed and incredibly anal in regards to simulating a small town. The first game is boring as fuck though, it's basically the story of you getting on a boat.
Mue 2 is the far better game, as shit really picks up, there are more fights, better characters, and they get rid of a lot of the bullshit that plagued the first game (mainly standing around waiting for shit to happen). Mue 1 was an interesting experiment that some people liked and Mue 2 was more like Sleeping Dogs or something.

Shenmue II :heart

Mue 1 is still great. It's slow, yes, but it makes all the awesome stuff on disc 3 even better because of it. :heart I also like how more personal the game is. The two games compliment each other I think, though yes 2 is better. :heart Also, if you're standing around waiting in Mue 1 you're doing it wrong. Go to the arcade and play darts. Time speeds up while playing darts and it's a fun time waster. The Tomato Mart at the docks also has two different kinds of dart machines. Play darts!
