I just unfriend people who I realize I never associate with on any level or ones that I find annoying. I've been added by plenty of "friends" and family that I just ended up removing because they were annoying or just padding my friends list. That's including a few cousins and one of my best friend's longtime girlfriend (she's annoying AND I don't really associate with her). No one has ever said anything to me about it so they either don't care, don't notice or just think "that guy's an asshole" *shrug*
I do this if they're someone I actually like outside of some Facebook quirk... spamming teenage-ish meme pics, constant political posts or just someone that can't seem to get the fuck off Facebook.I just unfriend people who I realize I never associate with on any level or ones that I find annoying. Yeah, that's basically what I do as well. If I see the person with any sort of regularity, I'll just hide their updates. But if I continuously see obnoxious update while realizing that I haven't seen them in years and probably won't outside of just running into them in public while doing something else, I'll just delete them.

speaking of facebook, whats up the with red equal sign things people are putting up. I see that it has something to do with gay rights, but I do don't get itEqual rights.
Did you notice there's not an option for "complain about them elsewhere on the Internet"?

I tend to get unfriended more than I unfriend.
Another thread complaining about Facebook. No one cares what you think about the people you chose to friend. If you don't like reading their updates you have three choices:
1. Don't read them
2. Hide their updates
3. Unfriend them
Did you notice there's not an option for "complain about them elsewhere on the Internet"? If you dummies can't figure out how to use social media then don't use it. You're terrible.
Look at you, responding to people who complain about facebook on the internet :violin
Responding to, not complaining about.
:PP
Even better- just don't use Facebook!

I get that. It's just like whats the point? Changing a facebook profile picture to something (rather non specific if you don't already know what it's for) seems almost worthless
You know you can just unsubscribe from people? That's what I do because I don't have the heart to actually unfriend them.

Italics are easier to internet with. It'd actually be a huge annoyance to use italics on a proper written letter, and I'd know, as I invented them.Saying youre terrible sounds like a complaint to me :wtf2 :wtb
Either way, I'm criticizing you, not complaining about you to other people who have no idea who you are nor give a shit.
I just hide them from my feed whenever I get annoyed.
If there's someone whose Facebook entries I dislike, I just unfriend them. Some people have such fragile egos that unfriending them is murdering them in the digital realm.
Unless you're a hot chick who likes to post revealing pictures. Then I just :snoop at the posts and :phil at the pictures. There is a girl on my list who is a hardcore Republican and Christian but also works as a part time model for car shows. She must have got implants or had a growth spurt in her late 20s but either way :mouf
