Title: Real Talk: Jay-Z ruins every song he is featured on
Post by: Himu on March 26, 2013, 03:57:04 PM
That new JT song and album? Every time Jay pops up, he ruins the song. Every single time. This man knows no bounds, and is ridding us all of good music.

This man is not a top 20 rapper ever, much less top 50. Get him off the airwaves.

the secret is that Jay-Z was always a better hustler than rapper and never missed the opportunity to swag dracula someone else's style.

His JT verse isn't horrible, it's just the safest most boring shit ever. Sort of like most of his career. The true abomination is his BDKMV remix verse, it's legit horrible.

meanwhile every guest verse Nas has done recently has been dope  :aah

Crazy In Love? Although I guess it's more the arrangement of the song than Jay's actual verse.

Are you fucking kidding me pd? Kanye makes a song about giving respect to ancestors and going the best he can, then you have a highly spiritual and emotional verse in the middle that is AMAZING. And then Jay makes a verse about HIMSELF. Every time I listen to that verse I rage.

YOU ARE TROLLING ME.

it's hard to deny the Camel is a great "rapper" and has some classic albums but overall I agree with Eric P, he hustled to the top

You ass, went from Jaz to hanging with Caine, to Herb, to Big
And, Eminem murdered you on your own shit
You a dick-riding taco, you love the attention
Queens niccas run you niccas, ask Russell Simmons

sums it up
:manny

I occassionally am reminded of random Jay Z lyrics and it's always

-'got the hottest bitch in the gaaame'
-'its ya boooy'
-some sort of variation of 'Hoooovvvvvvv'

yeah, that sums up his 'legacy' and overall summary of his career for me.

Jay-Z peaked with The Blueprint and Volume 2.  Every album ever since from him has been a carbon copy of those albums.  They were great peaks though.

Eh, save for a couple beats that don't fit the album (Jigga That nicca, Hola Hovito, Renegade) the Blueprint is a fantastic album.

Renegade was great though.

IMO the worst time a rapper was part of a song was Payphone. Wiz came in and rambled on and it had nothing to do with the song. It sounded distinguished mentally-challenged. He completely ruined an otherwise stupid song.

I like JayZ. Meh.  He's no Biggie or Tupac, but he has a solid body of work.

Damn, this thread is old.  I miss Eric P. Fun guy.
