So my hair is falling out at a rapid rate for some reason. Is there anything that can be done?!
-
I've heard Rogaine works for some people. And there's hair replace surgery
:(
-
Go see a doctor. He will get you on Propecia. Hopefully, you have some sort of copay insurance.
-
Let it go.
unless you look like a complete freak bald.
-
Shave your head before you get too bald
-
Don't be one of those guys that wears hats all the time either. It looks odd when I goto a nice restaurant or club and there is a guy wearing a ball cap.

I like this idea. Might as well make use of my benefits. Plus, I wonder if that drug has any fun side effects.
-
btw how old are you, and who in your family is bald?
-
23.
My GP is kinda bald (I think) I donno, I don't pay attention to those things, but he's old so... Other than that, dunno.

Right about the time I started to lose mine.
I used to freak about it, but now I could care less.

I started thinning at 23, it leveled off at 25, sooooooooooooo well ya lose it when ya lose it. Just dont come-over and go it with dignity.
Also grow facial hair if you end up going bald so something is framing and adding contrast to your face. You cant magically make hair grow back.

If only Bruce Willis listened to this advice lol :(

Rapid? How rapid?
Could indicate some kind of poisoning too. Better see a doctor ASAP, just to be sure. Especially if baldness is not something you were expecting.

rapid hairloss also points to thyroid issues

Good luck.

Can be stress, too, or wearing a hat or bandana a lot.
-
You'd have to wear a hat like more than 20 hours a day for it to cause hair loss.
-
or just getting older ;)
-
My dad has all his hair he's old as fuck, just some weak genes in your pool.
23 though? Ouch. Is it to the point where you can't hide it by combing it in a certain way/style?
-
Was your balding grandpa on your mom's side of the family? That's where the male pattern baldness gene comes from.
On topic, I started going bald around 21-22, and don't give a shit. Just keep your hair trimmed short, Caesar style.
-
Shave it off!

No, my dad's side. The gp on my moms side I never met, but looking at pictures of him he had a full head of thick black hair.
Who knows. Maybe I'm living next to a radiation dump and don't know it. LAWSUIT TIME!

You could use steroids.

Not necessarily, no.
-
"Who do you need, who do you love... when you come undone?"
:elephant
-
Did you go to a hair or skin or whatever doctor? I know that if your eyebrows or small patches of hair fall out you can use steroids but I'm not sure about your whole head.
-
naw, I did make an appointment tho.
