Title: EA wins the worst company in america award!
Post by: Powerslave on April 09, 2013, 05:52:52 PM
http://consumerist.com/2013/04/09/ea-makes-worst-company-in-america-history-wins-title-for-second-year-in-a-row/

this is good. All the gaffers trying to act badass with saying that there are more evil companies who should have won the award are wrong. This sets an example. EA is big and their shitty antics shouldn't be tolerated in the gaming industry. EA and M$ are trying to destroy the gaming industry and they are both gonna get theirs when the time comes. M$ is next.

Article: "When we live in an era marked by massive oil spills, faulty foreclosures by bad banks, and rampant consolidation in the airline and telecom industry, what does it say about EA’s business practices that so many people have — for the second year in a row — come out to hand it the title of Worst Company In America?"

It means there are a lot of angry video gaming nerds on the internet who can outvote the opposition.

This is powerslave we're talking about here.  He's like a non-trolling, humorless version of premium lager.  Basically, none of the redeeming qualities and turn the annoying ones up to 11.

I've got no dogs in this fight but I'd happily sit on the sideline and watch EA and MS rape the game industry and burn the whole thing down.

I don't care.

Whatever gives me the most salty GAF/internet tears.

Hard to believe that EA is the worst, here in this era of banks failing to get as much as a wrist-slap for (a) nearly ruining the world's economy irreparably, then (b) using the taxpayers money intended to save them to also give themselves bonuses.

I love how Derrick01 was carrying on in that thread, all happy that EA won because EA's shitty DRM practices and always-online gameplay to him is much worse than Bank of America tanking the US economy then seeking taxpayer bailouts, or Monsanto poisoning our food supply, or Big Oil and its wonderful environmental record or any of that :P

Tis not contrary to reason to prefer the destruction of the whole world to the scratching of my finger.
