:o
Just caugh an episode on Universal HD and I was floored. Although I'm confused as to what episode I actually watched, or if it was a movie. To me, it seemed like the pilot. We're introduced to the BSG (I think...) and Edward James Olmos's son, who is a fighter pilot, makes his way to the ship and they fight over the death of their brother and son. Meanwhile, in Capcrica City(?) some hot blonde sexes up some Minister of Defense official, hacks into the official Defense mainframe and proceeds to destroy the planet. The highest ranking goverment official, the "schoolteacher," has taken her oath of office and demands that the BSG help in rescue operations. BSG adamantly declines and sez for the carrier ship to turn around and at that point, we see the carrier ship being surrounded by the Sylon(?) ships and either a nuclear blast or an EMP surge has detonated.
Credits roll.
Anyway, I've searched the episode guides and can't find any description that matches this. But aren't most BSG episodes an hour long, instead of two? Anyway, it rocked and I'm going to buy the DeeVeeDees.

Yea, you saw the mini-series, but only half of it. I'm not sure which half, though. Probably the first. Now go out and buy the DVDs. One of the best shows on television. Always glad to see converts. :P

Yeah, you watched the mini-series... it only gets better from there.

Did the mini-series precede the SciFi TeeVee series?

Yep. Like Willco said, it only gets better.
