except windows 8 phones, fuck windows 8 phones
my company made the apps for coachella (iOS and Android). We're pretty proud of them. iOS much moreso than Android, we had a massive amount of work to do for the android project (brand new code base being developed) and unfortunately couldn't do all that we wanted to based on time constraints.
its a data-intensive app so it will run fairly slow on older devices, but 4S and up, and android 3.0 and up work very well.
check it out and confirm my existence

This is the closest I will ever get to sucking your cock :tocry
-
my role for these projects if anybody wondered is mostly managerial, but I write all the client proposals and talk to the clients through the development phase
oh and I do all the SQL work for it as well
-
can I use the app to stream this afternoon OTA
-
unfortunately no, the client didn't want this feature which is strange because we do that very same thing for bonnaroo. the coachella folks wanted to be as different from bonnaroo as possible. but you can load up their website on your browser and do it

sounds like a good gig mang!

No links?

Hmm
it should but it won't translate. I know the Android version is absolutely available but iPhone I'm not sure. I'd have to say probably no.

Looks good on Android, seems like it's got a decent amount of features too. My only beef would be that the menu icon doesn't really fit in (looks more like something from iOS... Google's applications with that functionality seem to have the app icon with a little left pointing arrow thing) and looks too similar to the lineup icon.
-
that's something we're trying to fix through this year -- our android apps have always felt more like an iOS skin on top of android functionality, and I've always hated that. Me and a few others here gave a presentation on how to change the functionality and styling of the android apps to better fit the device and firmware it belonged to, instead of just a basic iOS port. We're slowly changing our codebase and design throughout the year, so by the time Bonnaroo comes around it should feel like a truly native Android app instead of the alternative.
-
also I'd be interested to see what device you're using to run it because our android apps have historically run like poop -- another thing we fixed in the last two months. or tried to anyway.
we started as an iPhone only company but we're trying to incorporate all popular platforms and their design philosophies. For a company of only about 15, it takes a while. regardless, the app should run great on 4.0 devices

weird
but yeah I guess I can just go to the youtube stream in my browser
grats on the app!

Nice job, BrandNew. Dont care for Coachella tho.

Oh man, I'm running it on a ghetto-ass Huawei Ideos X5. To be honest it runs pretty badly (got a couple of hang screens, I'd have to say more so than usual) but most phones aren't going to be as shit as mine. I guess with Android if it runs decently on 90% of devices you should probably count your blessings.
-
yeah that's sort of the shitty thing with android -- you have to really try to cover all your bases, and those bases happen to be over a thousand different devices and instances -- firmware, OS overlays, processing speed, blah blah. Luckily we're not the only ones -- Instagram runs like shit on most androids around 2 years old.
There's an update for the android version that we just pushed about an hour ago, hopefully that makes it run a bit better. it was mostly a performance update.

any music-related events you dig or want to go to? chances are we probably do it...
lollapalooza, austin city limits, and warped tour are pretty much the only ones we don't do

no, fuck you

good lord Wu Tang sounds horrible. Bad sound levels, various mics too low, no chemistry. You can tell they either didn't do a soundcheck or didn't rehearse. Some songs sounded great (they're doing Triumph now, dope) but just about everything else was bad

Is that how you treat a potential shell customer? :sadcam
