His stuff is fairly Lovecraftian. I like it.
The Enigma of Amigara Fault is a good one.

I love Junji Ito but recently I've been getting heavily into Kazuo Umezu who also has some shit on a whole other level.
Unfortunately most of his published English works focus on the young girl gothic tales rather than his truly insane shit like Fourteen.
I recently read Hellstar Remina and absolutely loved it

I read all his books when I was a kid, but I could never find him. :(
-
you're a rap fan and you can't separate artist from art?
-
Kazuo Umezu rules. Also, check out Suehiro Maruo if you're into horror.
-
Uzumaki (the one about spirals) is one of my fav comics :rock

i don't even think that's the goofiest set of him
-
really dug Uzumaki and since Kazuo Umezu was already mentioned I support reading FOURTEEN.
that thing is fucking insane
-
Hellstar was better than Melancholia
The story of the humans was pretty stupid though. Hellstar's just good for CRAZY PLANET EATING horror and creepyness factor.
-
Uzumaki wasn't a very good movie.
-
hellstar was pretty awesome
-
i found that site when i went digging for junji ito stuff a while back
the rest of that site is "pour bleach in your brain" level ick.
-
I read Hellstar Remina this morning. It was pretty awesome/crazy/dumb.

Man, there's some really messed up stuff on that site. I didn't know Hiroaki Samura was into this torture stuff. Puts the messed up stuff in Blade of the Immortal into some perspective...

this man is a genius

Is he the one who did that panel with a boy looking out his window and seeing some weird creature crawling across a building on the other side of the street? The final panel in that was something like "Ever since that night, it's come here too." Easily one of the top 10 creepiest things I've seen.
I want to read what ever this is.
