He's one of my favorite guitarists of all time and is one of the main reasons I picked up a guitar. I'm legitimately gutted. I'm happy that I got to see him perform live before he died. It was amazing and now I'll cherish that moment even more.

Jeff Hanneman, Slayer's guitarist, died today. RIP. I thought I was "into metal" as a kid due to listening to Metallica (starting with MoP), Korn and some Black Sabbath, then I listened to a Midnight Metal program on the radio and heard thrash metal and was all  :holeup

Most thrash is still too whoa for me overall, but I liked Reign in Blood.

Man, the first abbreviation colon acronym Jeff bit had me seriously worried, it could have been the master tune spider due to silken weaves of musical beauty he spins from his northern sized abdomen.
