10 minutes wank fest, 10 seconds of gameplay. What little gameplay there is just more stupid vapid action crap in the vein of No More Heroes.
Killer is Dead? More like Grasshopper is Dead. Let's remember Grasshopper and hopefully this will be the final nail in the coffin and they will sink afterwards. The more and more I see and play of Grasshopper the more I realize I never was a Grasshopper fan; I was and always will be a Killer 7 fan.

Who has played through Killer 8 mode?

I liked the Samurai Champloo game they did. neat mechanic with the music switching for combos and the tate mode or whatever where you are busting through those japanese doors and one shotting dudes was hella cool.
Pretty B tier action, but good wholesome popcorn fun.

I didn't play Killer 8. The first time I finished it, I didn't feel like replaying it. The second time, my save got eaten by PCSX2 and now I'm discouraged cause I'll have to put a lot of time into getting back to where I was.
No More Heroes was great. Lollipop Chainsaw seemed good from what I played of it. They've still got it. They're still weird, just in a different way...Killer 7 took forever to make and sold 3 copies.

it's not like the gameplay keeps you coming back for more. it doesn't always feel worth playing some of those long ass levels just to get to the cool cut scenes.
-
You said you didn't play it, but then state that after finishing it you didn't want to replay it. You also called it both Killer 7 and 8 in the same post.
:what
-
nope.

ah, i see, yeah that could be confusing :lol Killer 8 is the game's hard mode that you unlock after beating it once. I played the normal mode once on launch, didn't feel like taking on hard mode right after. Then tried another play through a few years later, save got eaten.
-
lol alright. That shit was confusing.
-
I even mentioned killer 8 mode in the op.
-
I've been boycotting them since I made the mistake of picking up NMH :kobeyuck

The Evangelion 3nd Impact rhythm game on the PSP was pretty cool, too.
-
The video is just stupid promo shit, they did that last time around too ???
-
i don't see how grasshopper making the same kind of shit grasshopper always makes is them being dead
you said it yourself, killer 7 was not their usual
No more Heroes 1 had creative parts mixed in with the pandering. The one stage where you get on a bus to go fight a boss, fall asleep, and the stage becomes a top down dream shmup, and then you beat it and wake up and have a good boss fight was genius.
But yeah, K7 & maybe 50-70% of NMH1 are Suda's high points. Everything since then has been average at best. Will probably play this one at $20, but expectations are generally low.

Buying Killer is Dead day 1.
-
I thought Shadows of the Damned was pretty awesome.
Buying Killer is Dead day 1.
Same here.
-
I liked the style, even the inane humour (the Mexican, not Mexican't line was great), but it wasn't all that interesting to play.
-
(the Mexican, not Mexican't line was great)
Stolen from Futurama, assuming Futurama did it first.
-
Yeah, I thought Shadows was pretty good. Just kind of an arcadey RE4.
-
i love mikami but lets not act like hes flawless. dino crisis, anyone?
-
I need to play God Hand again. How good was that fucking game? So good.
-
The worst thing he's made is Resident Evil 2 with dinosaurs, is what you're saying.
please dont compare re2 with dino crisis
-
I remember Dino Crisis not being particularly bad?
-
re3 gets extra points because of the brand. dino crisis was ok just forgettable.
-
I just realized that I have yet to buy or play a Grasshopper game.
-
your being a dumb gamer
just don't buy games you don't want. no hysterics needed

PN 03.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm not actually boycotting. This isn't that serious.
-
isn't Dino Crisis 2 a much improved sequel. I was bored stiff by DC1 but I never tried part 2, was I wrong to do so?
-
Dino Crisis 2 was pretty fun from what I've played of it at my cousin's house.
-
I own it but have never played it. guess I should get on that

PN 03.
PN03 is pretty frustrating. They just needed to change a few things and it would've been a much smoother and more fun score attack game. The lack of any invincible frames on her dodge, along with the rate of fire that makes you fucking destroy your thumb to kill an enemy both bring it down a lot.
-
I just realized that I have yet to buy or play a Grasshopper game.
No More Heroes is fun for the week or so of your free time it'll eat up. Worth $20ish or less I'd say, like all of Grasshopper's shit. They make short cool weird things that should never be full price ever.
-
Didn't a lot of people complain about having to do lame-ass retro styled minigames in order to progress in No More Heroes? Did they amend this in the sequel? If so the sequel is probably better to play, no? Assuming they are similar enough in other regards.

NMH 1 has you do them IRL and NMH 2 has the 8-bit ones.
I think there might be some streamlining of that in Hero's Paradise.
