Is there a certain amount that you deposit into lets say a savings account? Put away for something else? Just tell me what YOU guys do I'm trying to start off now by getting into a good habbit, as I would always just cash my other checks here is my plan (so far)
Checks: *Directly Deposit into Crown Checking Account (basic check account blah blah)
Savings: I figured I'd put about 20 dollars per check in the savings account? Does that seem like too little of a figure? Anyone put more in?
Basically I was told that "paper money = bad" and what have you so I'm just wondering is it true, and what do you guys do?

You don't put any away? After the 6% from my 401K and the 20 dollar savings I'm left with little...but maybe that's a good thing?

Back in the day, before I had a savings account, I had the IRS withhold an additional $25 from each check, effectively saving an extra $100 a month or so when I got it all back when I filed my return. That was far more effective than my savings account, which I'm able to fuck with after a few mouse clicks. I had the same amount going to savings, but after a while I started raiding it. No self control. :-\
