It's been hilarious seeing the reactions of Sony fans to the revealing of the next Xbox.  Clearly, there's a lot of pent up rage from the fail that was the PS3.

The only thing was lost was the massive lead. As far as I know worldwide 360 and PS3 were pretty much equally good/bad, or not?

Xbox killed in software sales and 3rd party support by having a huge lead in the markets that buy the most games

PS3 sold more in small European countries and Japan which just don't buy many games anymore

I was going by hardware sales primarily, which I've heard were pretty much equal. I don't follow the numbers side of things usually.

It's kinda like how Xbox and Gamecube sold about the same worldwide but Xbox "won" by having a much bigger market share in the US, thus having more 3rd party support and selling more games
