KI 3?
KI sales data Oscar,plz.
-
- A lot of bitter, salty tears being shed as former exclusives (what remains of them) get distributed to other platforms. MGS5 for Xbone? Yes, please!
- Lots of morons accepting PR at face value.
- Insecure Nintards pretending the next Wii U Mario, Mario Kart, and Zelda games look just as good as the Xbone and PS4 games. Everyone else responds by humiliating and shaming them.
- Nintendo: "Please understand"
- Lots of third party games this fall will have Xbone, 360, PS4, and PS3 versions.
Edit:
- GAF is going to be down most of the time, in spite of all of the "server upgrades"
-
a pile of bullshit I don't care about.
a smidgen of bullshit I care about.
-
I'm sure there's some games I'll be excited about.
-
i just want to see smash bros after being told for 2 years that "we are going to show later" i'm not even sure why i do care since character are what make the game and they ran out of C-Rate nintendo character with brawl so i guess we can expect amazing addition like waluigi and funky kong...
oh and i guess it would be cool if square-enix showed something more than a tech demo for once
-
Lots of smelly nerds in the one spot
-
Bad time to be a fanboy, great time to be a gamer. There's already more good games out right now than I could possibly play.

If you played 1 Smash game you've played them all. Why do people care about Smash 4?
QFT
Its not even a good game

Here's some
Meltdowns aplenty as games are grabbed up as exclusives by Sony and MS. I'm expecting at least one big one each.
The hype for said games drowns out the campaign on DRM as gamers and their need for instant pleasure VS long time goals will fall by the wayside yet again. (see serious gaming consumer campaigns from the past for more details)
For the rest, DRM will be watered down enough so people don't care only to ratchet up next year when eyes are focused elsewhere.
Prices for the new consoles will be 'acceptable'
Nintendo will have a decent E3 by trotting out all the usual suspects.
Princess Peach revealed as secret playable character in Bayonetta 2 wears pink fetish uniform.
-
it would be pretty funny if versus were actually there, but as a ps4 exclusive, not ps3
I hope so, just to compound the embarrassment for SE.

i have lot of good memories with melee (which is also a game i like a lot because it's so chaotic) and the whole thing with the dojo where they revealed a new thing about brawl each day was amazing,in fact i really hope they do it again
beside's it's not like there is another nintendo game for me to be excited about,3D mario could be cool i guess,i don't give a shit about zelda, ditto mario kart, they might resurrect yet again some other old IP (inevitable yet another kirby game nobody cares about) and the chance of them doing something new is pretty much close to 0%

Despite everyone already knowing the Xbox is a piece of shit they will still view their conference with some excitement. They actually expect this non-gaming centric company to deliver. Maybe they'll have that one or two B-tier game that xbots will fawn over for whatever reason to keep the illusion up that the xbox brand actually delivered a fun gaming experience during it's miserable existence.
Sony, I hope they started to realize they have a buried but not forgotten treasure vault called their older IP's. Everyone wants a new Crash Bandicoot, everyone wants a new Tombi or Colony Wars. Bringing back those classic franchises from the PS1 era is the biggest wish I have for the PS4.
For the console reveal, I expect a console designed with cool ridges and eccentric angles. I want it to look like a beastly machine. A transformer. With that blue led light across some part of the front finishing it off.
-
Nintendo will either have the best news blowout they've had in the last 3/4 years, or seal their fate. I'm confident they'll have a lot of surprises. Their whole silence in the wake of their epic-disaster launch would imply they are targeting the new console launches as the right time for a PR do-over. If, for example, that Youtube screenshot implying ten minutes of Pikmin 3 is not just a fake, then even die hard Nintendo fans will turn on them.
I think Sony have been pretty up front with what they have, there may be one or two surprise announcements, but I think we've seen a lot of what's coming to the platform for the near-term. I don't follow the Sony news enough to know otherwise.
Microsoft's TV TV TV TV conference has lowered the bar of expectations massively -- if they shit out one or two Rare titles, a new Halo, and some exclusives from the likes of Epic, or whatever, they stand a good chance of surprising people. Their biggest ace could be pricing structure. The box is weaker than PS4, not necessarily detrimentally so, but enough that it should be more affordable. They've also dabbled with subsidy contracts on 360 -- an Xbox Live subsidised price on the box could make it really cheap and really attractive. Provided they show good games, that is. If its more TV TV TV - they are dead to me.

Yeah but they've never launched a console with 2 Nintendo games before and then sat on a bad launch for 6 months while even EA - who isn't even supporting the console - releases more games than them. They've obviously got stuff they've been sitting on. The question is whether its good / good enough.

Microsoft: Disappointment due to Kinect inclusion
Sony: Disappointment due to sales numbers
Nintendo: Most interesting due to having games - albeit the same games released over the last decade... but since we are starved across all three platforms, we accept this begrudgingly
Overall winner: 3DS
-
so then stop giving a shit about nintendo? why search through the garbage can in the alley for a bone with a little meat on it when there's a buffet inside?
i like japanese dev and if ps4/xbone reveal are anything to go by i doubt i'll have my fair share of weeaboism outside of nintendo :japancry

Sony shows The Show 14 running in real time on PS4 and it shits all over EA's prerendered bullshit.
Won't happen, but it should.

As a general rule, I share your skepticism. If there's any reason why I might feel that this time is different, it's because they really do need to throw everything and the kitchen sink at the problem they have in the form of the Wii U's astoundingly awful sales numbers. If they hope to have even the slightest chance of turning the Wii U into anything but an abysmal failure, they need a big holiday, and the hype train for that big holiday needs to start now.
However, don't mistake this post for some idiotic "My body is Reggie" admission of being pumped for Nintendo to dominate E3 and win at video games. I'm just saying that if there's any year where I think they might manage to not screw the pooch and piss away time promoting some new stupid Wii Music/Play/Fit nonsense and leave people crushed that Title X wasn't shown, it's this year because they really need it in a more significant way than simply appeasing forum warriors.

Hot and fresh, straight from my anus*:
Microsoft - Very little about the TV stuff, but they won't be able to help themselves and will eat up about 10 minutes going through it again. The rest will be games. Out of their 15 "new" IPs, 5 will be what we consider full retail games, the rest will be divided amongst XBLA and Kinectimals-type shit. The real games: New Crackdown, which will excite fans but make the mainstream press go "?" Something Halo to coincide with that TV show. Forza. Rare's deal. A Lionhead something. The rest of the show will be third-parties, with the predictable COD demo, etc. The MS show will strongly resemble a past 360 E3, with slightly better graphics.
Sony - Of course they'll show the box. inFamous gameplay. Killzone gameplay. Media Molecule will do another variation on the puppet thing presentation they gave for the PS4 unveil. Most of it will pretty much be a shortened version of the PS4 reveal show or stuff you've already heard about, but they'll go a bit deeper into some of their media stuff. Battlefield 4 will be their big third-party demo, their version of the COD MS onstage demo thing. Surprise announcement of a game that's three years away. One last push for Vita as a PS4 accessory and indie games jukebox.
Neither of these companies will talk about the used games thing at E3. Both of them are going to duck and stammer and obfuscate until the very last minute before release this Fall. I'd almost bet money on it.
Nintendo - A bunch of games that will be rushed to meet this make-or-break Holiday for the Wii U.
*tart

We know Bayonetta 2, a new 3D Mario, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart (?) are going to be there; there's also what we don't know, like Retro's game. Nintendo has good stuff to show, yeah.
Microsoft's showing will probably be the most surprising; mixture of low expectations and an onslaught of new games. Forum people will be uncomfortable admitting (or denying) any success Microsoft has at E3. Predictions? the words "exclusive content" said about forty billion times.
Sony isn't exactly the bastion of excitement and enthusiasm. Great games. Boring presentation. Vita who? PS3 is a black box, etc. That said, Infamous SS gameplay is what I'm looking forward to most.
Actually, what I'm excited about most is the recent tease from Eidos Montreal about the next Deus Ex game.

Destiny has already been confirmed to be the big third party demo at Sony's conference.

Yeah I think BF4 will be at MS's conference.
I also think Destiny is going to fall flat on stage. It sounds like the sort of game that rewards time and effort not a traditional shootbanger.
We know how those sort of games play on stage at trade shows.

- Rare shows Killer Instict 3 (Kinect) for Xbone. Game looks like MK9 but is ass because of Kinect.
Killer Instinct was always ass.
it's easily the most puzzling demand for a series revival. It's so bad, there's literally nowhere to go with that fighting engine.

Video is bullsjit, if the XBone were a girl she'd be waaaaaaaaaaay bigger.

I want the new Earth Defense Force PS3/360 game to make an appearance at E3. I don't think it's been confirmed for NA yet.
-
:zzz
-
There will be some new IP for one or both of the next gen twins shown that everybody is really excited about (this year's Watch Dogs basically)
Of MS supposed 8 new IPs, at least half will be bullshit Kinect/arcade titles
Sony will continue to tapdance around the used DRM issue. At best they may make a bold proclamation along the lines of "Sony 1st party titles won't do this"
People who continue to support consoles are still idiots that spend too much money on bullshit
-
If you played 1 Smash game you've played them all. Why do people care about Smash 4?
Actually melee added a lot to the core gameplay. Brawl was rubbish that put the game backward even though it added more side stuff.
-
You said if you played one you played them all which isnt true.

i've been playing the Vita game lately, it's fucking awesome!
-
Really? My read is the opposite. It's a great time to be a fanboy (system launches always are, and this one is sure to bring some shocker exclusives that'll rile up the troops), but a bad time to be a gamer (lots of new systems to buy at one time with a bunch of exclusives that if you aren't on Team A/B/C
Yeah, if you can't afford multiple systems things might not look so rosy. On the plus side the x86 compatibility between PC and major consoles means more ports. As far as fanboys, I have trouble seeing them being happy about anything.
I guess I'll just ignore the industry crashing and enjoy the games being shown.
-
new 3D mario game
thats all I give a shit about really in terms of nintendo stuff
hopeful to see some cool ps4 stuff. That's probably gonna be my next home console
oh and tons of PC awesomeness I assume
-
smash bros melee is a great game. against all odds and in spite of itself.
I find it highly unlikely that a new game in the series will hit the same way. Brawl seems more in line with what nintendo and their consumers wants that series to be.
-
I want the new Earth Defense Force PS3/360 game to make an appearance at E3. I don't think it's been confirmed for NA yet.
This. I'm probably going to import it when it comes out in a few weeks, but I wouldn't mind some new footage or something.
I also want Sega to confirm Yakuza 5 for NA and/or Europe :'(

yeah, I'm interested to see the direction of the next Smash Bros game. The (forum) community wants Melee/competitive. iirc, Sakurai wants it to be a party game, and Brawl's changes reflect that. Also interested in how the 3DS and Wii U versions differ (allegedly these are two wholly different products) and if content takes a hit due to the new gen learning curve. I'm not interested in actually playing it or anything.
Sony will continue to tapdance around the used DRM issue. At best they may make a bold proclamation along the lines of "Sony 1st party titles won't do this"
This should happen. I want Sony and Microsoft to be coy until the consoles launch. I want it to be like the Wii U where the Giantbomb staff created personal accounts on one unit, and later learned those accounts are stuck on that unit.
-
In all fairness that basicly all sony can do, they don't have the muscle to say no to publisher DRM.

I'm about halfway through RGG5 right now. Hell, the last localized Yakuza game I played was 2. I've played through all the PS3 RGG games in Japanese.

I'm pretty sure the new EDF is confirmed for the west, some places have 12/31 placeholder dates and cover art along with the title EDF 2025. The Vita game is an improved version of the first one that came out on 360, 2017, which is a pretty fuck awesome game. Main thing I want to hear about at E3 is a Project Diva F localization announcement but if that doesn't happen I'll just end up importing it whenever I get a damn PS3.
-
I figure EDF4 is coming, just strange that nothing official has been said about it.

come now, you've been slurping down Reggie's wormy jizzum for quite a bit now, let's not get all coy when it comes to accepting a big globious money shot right in your pie hole!
anyways, let me part my curtains forthwith :
x1 :
- no specs announced of any sort
- avoidance or carefully worded "clarifications" that pass the buck onto the publishers regarding DRM making them out to be the sole bad guys
- exclusives are a mismash of titles ranging from the meh to the interesting
- EA will provide at least two exclusives once of which will be Mirrors Edge 2
- Suggestion , but not explicitly stated, that one or two top tier producers titles are exclusive, these will be absent from the Sony presentation leading to speculation that Sony has lost support from these houses
- announcement of set top box deals for US with machine packaged as part of the monthly cable TV payment
- streaming to Surface and other devices shown
Sony
- too much PS3 stuff shown
- DRM is still down to publishers but is waved off
- PS4 is remote playable on a host of devices not just the vita, or at least can be interacted with from other platforms
- Vita gets at least one half surprise game announced - not a megaton, more a meganot.
- B/C via Gaikai revealed
- Diablo 3 shown in detail
- exclusive follow up to an indie game big hitter exclusive to PS4/PS3/Vita
Nintendo
- stealth WiiU price rise by removing the lowest unit and playing "now you has choice! expensive white or expensive black!"
- both white and black packages to come with at least one game preinstalled, possibly Mario Kart
- 3DS MH4 shown with a much quicker than expected release date
- Retro's project shown - "Metroid : and a word beginning with U"
- F Zero surprise reveal for WiiU
- Smash CG shown, no details
