Easier for PR to pressure gaming sites into asking the questions they have answers for that way.
-
:lol the train keeps going off rails
-
Steve Tilley @stevetilley 4m
@JosiahRenaudin They say it's due to some changes in execs' schedules "including some external industry and partner sessions."
-
They're going first aren't they? It's probably so they don't get caught pants down and can better respond to Sony and Nintendo announcements throughout the following day.

There's nothing to tell except "see you next week"
-
This has to be the lamest pre E3 ever.
I'm beginning to think that gaming industry has nothing to show except bunch of iOS/tablet games.
-
Look on the bright side: that Apple event is happening at the same time as Microsoft's, so the tech and other non-gaming media will focus on that, meaning Microsoft might focus on games during its press conference.
-
:bow WWDC
:piss E3

Never go full PC at the beginning of a gen.
-
Shouldn't MS have moneyhatted a good games console instead of an underpowered cable overlay box?

There are a "lot of advantages of having your content assigned to you digitally" and the Xbox One has been designed with the used market in mind from the beginning, Microsoft Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer has told Edge magazine.
Asked for his position on the used game market, Spencer said: "I think the whole idea of a secondary market is important and it'll be important in the next generation, and we've designed with that in mind from the beginning."
He added that DRM can be very beneficial: "We think there are a lot of advantages of having your content assigned to you digitally – we did that on 360 with cloud-saved games – and we want to do that with content".
"We understand there are implications... just know that we recognise the importance of that market and we've designed with it in mind from the beginning."
He said further details would be shared at a later point.
Microsoft is yet to give a definitive answer on how Xbox One will treat used games.
-
Just one more non-answer. Is "designed with it in mind" somehow supposed to suggest that you're not going to be bent over a barrel?
-
yeah, and the echo with that is real bad. Repeating the same non-answer as some type of justification...
Wait what am I doing? The Xbone is going to DOMINATE
-
Now they're canceling one-on-one interviews too:

This has to be the greatest hubris fuck up in recent memory. At least Sony dominated a couple generations before going half distinguished mentally-challenged fellow. Meanwhile MS has gone full distinguished mentally-challenged fellow.
-
It's amazing.

They're getting there but I still think 2006 era Sony takes the distinguished mentally-challenged fellow awards.

Despite that PS3 will overtake Wii. Think about that Andrex.
Meanwhile almost a decade later Nintendo cant peddle a system for 299.
Sony must be doing something right with gamers.

"lot of advantages of having your content assigned to you digitally" is some of the most insane corporate doublespeak I've ever heard.

MS sticking its head in the sand. That will surely bring positive results. :P
