Title: I saw those Knack gameplay segments again.... and I get it now..

When Knack was revealed, the only thing I liked about it were the facts that it was a platformer and that the character looked kind of ok. I thought the gameplay bits looked bland and boring. Going forward in linear paths...

But when I rewatched it yesterday it dawned on me... It actually resembles Crash Bandicoot's gameplay. Fixed camera, fixed 'linear' level paths. Now we only saw a little bit of the gameplay but if it turns out the whole game is like this I'm actually really looking forward to it. I always liked how Crash was a perfect transitioned 2D to 3D platformer. We'll see more in a few hours..

Never fucking mind. This game looks like a PS2 launch game that's still in the first 5 months of development.

Is Knack really even a platformer? It looks like straight up beat em up or something.

Anyways, I can't hate on the game because it's a kids game and I feel sorry for kids because the only way for them to get a good game fix their age level they either have ios (*shudder*) or Nintendo (*shudder*).

Knack looks like a charming competent character action game.  Shows off the basic graphical tech of the new system.  It seems like this next gen's Kameo.  Probably a decent family friendly launch game that will likely be forgotten in a couple years.

Honestly it looks terrible, but since there's going to be like jack shit available at launch and it's by Cerny, I'll give it a shot and hope it's better than the trailer impression gives.

yeah, the disconnect is when it's described as a platformer and compared to Crash Bandicoot while the gameplay look nothing like that.  Gameplay looks somewhere between Kiddie God of War and a Lego game.

It looks like a fun light action game, I would probably get it over stuff like driveclub.

Yep, "Kiddie God of War" is exactly what I thought of when I saw the E3 gameplay footage.
