I hope the new classes are like Palewing, meaning that they have their own set of weapons and abilities. I'll be happy as long as the standard soldier is in no way gimped in comparison to EDF2 and 3.
I trust Sandlot though. Going to pre-order my copy at Amiami today. 8)

I recently went to the visitation before the funeral of my friends father. A bunch of old hippies showed up with shirts depicting Earth with the text "Planetary Defense Force." I asked my friend what it was about and she said her dad was part of a group that calls itself the Planetary Defense Force and that their main activities were getting really high and staring at the stars all night.

I wonder if it's gonna be too complex. I guess I don't really take advantage of all the stuff they give you in 2017, since you fuck yourself by equipping some limited use item in one of your slots. Maybe that comes into play more at higher difficulties...i just wanna shoot bugs.

We think it’s one of the pleasures in EDF that players try to figure out how to use these weapons. The availability of various unique weapons creates more room for players to come up with the strategy and establish their own style of gameplay. Also, the game can be played mission by mission, so there are many chances for you to change your weapons. I believe you can readily enjoy the element of tactics in the game.
Although some weapons don’t appear to be so helpful… I’m hoping players can find the weapons that work for them among the uneven mixture of the strong weapons and the seemingly-trashy ones.
In some cases for earlier titles, players found the way to use the weapons that we thought were not so powerful, and incorporated them into their strategies.

This is my favorite thing about EDF. In some of the harder missions on the higher difficulties, you really have to try out a bunch of different weapon combinations and come up with a strategy, or you'll get overwhelmed quickly.

Wish I didn't suck at FPS games on a controller. :P
Iconoclast play any SDOJ? It's at least as hard as DOJ wave 2 if you select expert.

Yeah, I've been playing Shot/Laser for a while. I probably won't play Expert until I get a decent score and maybe clear Hibachi in the regular mode. I'm not going to play score attack until Cave patches the game and resets the leaderboards tho.
