Halo Trilogy has been rumored for a while on Steam, I'll pick it up if it happens.
-
Seeing as how Halo originated on the Mac, it'd be returning home.

Back then it was more of a Tribes-style game.

WTF. I want Halo 2 on 360.
Though, I for sure will bite if it's on Steam. Best Halo mp for sure and I missed the Vista port.
-
If they optimize H2V, I'd be all over it again. The fact it breaks in Win 7/8 in regards to mouse acceleration is :'(

yep. I bet this would be a lot of fun to co-op and get into multiplayer shenanigans with the Bore group
>Using 4chan as a source
this info has been rumored before these games are listed in the Steam registry, though, so 4chan technically isn't the "source"

I'd buy Halo trilogy. Halo 1 co-op :obama

I knew MS was dumping Live for stream.
Really? Great news
-
I hope this happens, but I won't buy any of these if they don't have online multiplayer. That was the stupidest thing about the Halo CE remake.

Microsoft is about to shut down the Halo 2 PC servers, and they tweeted that they were "looking at other options to keep online available" or something like that. People are taking that to mean they're probably going to add Steamworks online.
Edit: Here's the tweet

wut? i KNOW i remember playing online with that port.

You must have missed the memo where it was a Halo Reach Map Pack instead ;)
-
after many minutes of strenuous thinking i realized i am confusing the pc port with the 360 remake

It was obvious with them selling steam keys for their games and selling stuff like Fable 3 there.
It's taken too long but you wont see live again. MAYBE Xbox on windows but it'll all be sold on stream moving forward.
O i took this to mean they were moving away from game for windows not just putting stuff up on steam
-
Windows Phone? What's that? :heh
-
Oh now I'm excited for Halo 2.
-
What is the status of WiFi Direct on iOS devices?

yeah, if/when Halo 2 Anniversary comes out next year, no one is gonna want that game for the single player. It'll be interesting to see if Halo 2 Anniversary is on 360, Xbox One, or both. Or iOS and Steam, now.

(Reuters) - Microsoft Corp will offer its console and computer games for Apple Inc's iPhone and other smartphone platforms this fiscal year, through a tie-up with Japanese smartphone game maker Klab Inc, the Nikkei said on Monday.
Through a licensing deal, Klab will bring Microsoft's Xbox and Windows-based computer games to the iPhone and smartphones using Google Inc's Android operating system, according to the Nikkei.
Microsoft's "Age of the Empires" will be available as a free-to-play game worldwide on smartphones by the end of the fiscal year 2013 and other titles will follow, the report said.
