Now that I'm employed I'm in the market for a smartphone. The Nokia Lumia series is attractive, and has the added bonus of ACHIEVEMENTS.
The reality is I'll be doing minimal gaming on the device, say a couple hours a week. Is there enough shit worth playing (even just a few good games would suffice) to warrant getting a Windows phone over an Android?
Basically I'll be using the handset for calls, texts, email, Bore, Facebook and basic web browsing. No other BS

There is that indie game...Skulls or something.
Halo coming out soon. Just check out WPCentral gaming section. At the very least, you will have more games than a Wii U.
-
Yeah I'd get Skulls, the game is tight and I mastered/ 400/400'ed that shit on XBL.
Are there any other SquareEnix offerings other than FF1? I love the taste of SE piss in my mouth
-
MS didn't release WP8 in Japan so SE might not bother lol.
They only released WP7, some old Fujitsu phone.
-
Cave's Dodonpachi maximum bullet simulator or whatever it's called is quite nice, I play it often. Dunno if they brought out other shmups for windows phone like they did on iOS.
-
I never play games on my Lumia, because it destroys the battery :(
Otherwise it's a great phone

That's WP7 only.
-
WP8 isn't backwards compatible? lol :trash
-
They changed the whole kernel again with 8.

Most of the games got updated to support the new SDK but Chaos Rings is different, Square released it way late with no mention of WP8 at all. Again, no WP8 in Japan so can't blame them.

That's WP7 only.
lulz. Yea fuck WP.
-
Why play games when you can listen to people talk about them? The Player One Podcast announced on the podcast this week that their app is on Windows Phone now. That's all you need

Windows phone is fucking awful man, go with android or iOS.
