eurogamer has probably been my fave game site the last many years...now there is a us branch with parish on board...is this the new 1up? worth noting I'm probably late on this, but haven't heard anything about this whatsoever before tonight.

Yeah it definitely reminds me of the days of old 1up. Parish is definitely my favorite of the game journalists, although that isn't quite saying much... love his articles on his Telebunny blog where he gets deep into analysis of older games.
