Just realized that UNKLE's Psyence Fiction will be 15 years old this year, which made me say, "oh shit" and check the dates on Massive Attack's first two albums, which were FUCKING 1991 for Blue Lines and next year for Protection. 

So, both of Massive Attack's first two albums are basically 20 years old, and Psyence Fiction is 15.  FUCK THIS GAY EARTH, ETC ETC.  I'm old.

for a few years i used to annoy my friends by listing albums which had come out 5, 10, 15 and 20 years previous every new year just to make them feel old.

I had a moment like this the other day when a coworker's kid was playing Mario 64 at the office...

Cowoker: This came out in 1996 I think.

Ah, I had NINs performance at Lollapalooza streaming in the background last night while I was playing PSO2 and while they were playing Closer I went oh hey this song is 19 years old. Then they played Wish which is from 21 years ago, and then I realized that the music of my youth is older than some of my guildmates. :fbm

Yeah, NIN is the one comparison that always does it for me, because The Downward Spiral is the sound of angry youthful rebellion, AND next year it will be 20-years-old.

that means The Downward Spiral is now too old to unironically listen to itself :beli
