The longer this goes on, the more customers are going to start looking into alternative methods to view their shows.

I hope you're right.
If and when I move back to the USA, I am giving the bird to cable and going with internet only, and a couple streaming services.

Even Netflix alone ($8/month) will give you more content than you'd ever go through.
I have Netflix and Amazon Prime and I haven't looked back.
