The Amdrex
This is the fifth or sixth Android 'console.' Back at E3 Mad Catz annoyed its own Ouya coming with its not-360 controller, but I don't think anyone reported on it. At least Amazon might not have an amateur UI and might make for a good Roku alternative.

You get this free when you buy the controller
Amazon pulled out of the hardware market already? ???No, they're spending $75 million on a forklift operator simulator.

THE AMAZON FUCK CITY
Amazon is bolstering up talent in their video game development studio, and they've got two new high-profile snags: Portal designer Kim Swift and Far Cry 2 designer Clint Hocking have both joined Amazon Game Studios, Kotaku has learned.:patel
Ouya founder Julie Uhrman insists that the company isn't abandoning its original vision. "What makes Ouya is not the physical hardware, but the fact that it is made for games built for a TV," she says
Didn't Portal dude make some OUYA game that mega-bombed?
Now that Amazon has reinvigorated the set top box market with the FireTV its time for Sony to swoop in with the Vita TV and make a killing :derpI would fucking for sure buy a Vita tv if they released it here. At least it has stuff I want.spoiler (click to show/hide)I would buy one :goty[close]
the idea of a cheap console with a slew of new cheap games always fascinated me and knowing how many people backed ouya i'm sure i'm not alone
so i don't understand why everybody tries it and keeps fucking it up

Finally, my entire family can enjoy Gameloft games together in the same room.
So, a 'console' that only plays tablet games?
Whats the point?
how far are televisions from just having this sort of stuff built-in?
So, did anyone pick this up?
It clearly looks to be the best set top box in the market and the ability to play games is pretty cool. I would get one but the rumored game-ready Apple TV is right around the corner and I'm so invested in the iOS ecosystem that I have zero desire to repurchase content I already own.
