So I got an iPad for free, but I don't know what to download or do other than surf the net. Recommendations on cool games, apps or things to do would be appreciated. Also, is there an easy way to stream video content from my home PC? Its an iPad mini by the way.

Actually Frozen Synapse is seriously great if you have any interest in chess, but with guns, and the moves are takes simultaneously. Aesthetically it looks great as well.

install Chrome. it's easier to launch an Incognito Tab in Chrome than change your iOS Safari settings every time :yeshrug

Into the Dead and Jetpack Joyride are ok Free to Play games that you don't actually need to buy anything from.
Luxor Evolved, Wargames and Plants vs Zombies are good enough if you're fine with casual games but I would wait until they're on sale.
To be honest 99% of my usage is from Chrome, Youtube, Tweetbot and Alien Blue.

Also, is there an easy way to stream video content from my home PC?
I use Air Video and that works well for me. StreamToMe is also decent.

If you read comics, ComicGlass or ComicRack. Air Playit HD is a good streamer. And, the usual - Netflix, HBO Go, the TWC app if you have Time Warner cable. Games - Squids, Squids Wild West, Rebuild, the Spiderweb Software games.

i've been playing a game called Puzzle Craft recently. pretty enjoyable because they don't make you feel like you have to spend money on the game to buy currency, like most other free games out there.
Slots - Pharoh's Way is a pretty good slots game you can play for a few minutes at a time. i suppose its more useful on a phone than an ipad, though.

It let me cancel Netflix, all my pay channels, and most of my high-end services with my satellite provider. It's got almost EVERYTHING.

Well you can't upgrade your os. I mean you can but it reverts the jailbrake. And sometimes the very latest new apps will require a later os but other than that nothing.
