His first two albums. The release of his new, shitty album has gotten me listening to his old awesome stuff.

Patrick Wolf from a shoot for his new album. I don't like the look either. But on the OMG Patrick Wolf looks GAY bar, it doesn't even begin to approach, say, this:

I'm not sure what he was going for here.

I hope that wasn't directed at me. I love Human League. Ask Doug, my phone ring is Don't You Want Me Baby. And sometimes it's the Soul Glow song from Coming to America.

Handle With Care performed by Jenny Lewis.
Here's the Travelling Wilburys' version. The song was primarly composed by George Harrison.

No, not at you at all; it's just that there are a TON of musical elitists at GA/OA (and I presume EB). Myself, I make no pretension of being an aesthete of any sort -- I just like what I like. Hell, I don't even know why I like the music I do. All I do know is that I'm partial to melodies, which generally makes me a pop/80's whore. :D Here's another song I like that I finally got a hold of a couple of weeks ago:

(as an aside, HOLY SHIT is she hot! :o I've never seen this video before just searching for it, since I have the mp3. This song has great lyrics and does some interesting things with the pacing, though I don't possess the musical acumen necessary to characterize it :D)
Btw, White Man, if you're ever "working as a waitress in a cocktail bar," hook me up with some free booze. ;) :-*

Music elitists - at least on GAF - are a complete joke. They sit around complaining about the simplicity of mainstream music and then listen to stuff even more simplistic. And then when they're favorite artist gets a little popular OMG now 16 year olds understand MY music omg SELLOUT they suck! :lol
