I got it for free from PS+ although I never got past installing it. It's supposed to be great. The graphics are much nicer and you can speed up the text scrolling (or maybe even skip it).

Okami is worth 20 dollars. Dunno how you'll enjoy the bloat and backtracking and the "I'll tell you how to solve this puzzle" stuff but it is worth 20 dollars for the graphics and story.

I got it and played for like 30 hours / 1.5 Okamis and then mothballed it. way too much game. hopefully someone fanpatches out the bug one day

The opening exposition dump was the worst. It's like 10 minutes of annoying dialogue sounds over text that you can't skip. I almost bailed out.

If you're going into Okami as a fan of Zelda you may be dissapointed. Dungeons are minimal, puzzle solving is minimal (the game will solve them for you by telling you how to do it, without fail, every time), and game play depth is minimal. The best things about Okami are aesthetic and story. I wouldn't go into it at all for game play.

The pacing is the worst thing I've seen in a game. It never ends. It is like the anti thesis to the rest of Kamiya's games. Whereas DMC, RE2, Bayou, and VJ are about tight mechanics and short, compressed game clocks Okami is about being a mechanically vapid and as long winded as possible. The bug really does ruin it.

yeah, I bailed out when I first played it.  Months later I came back and really enjoyed it once I got past that initial hurdle.

Should've at least finished Okami 2.  That's the best one.

Okami 2 is the definitely the best Okami but Okami 3 suffers the trilogy curse by being more dumb than its prequels despite having the potential to be the best one.

Never finished. Not even sure I finished the first part of the in game trilogy, it's been a while. It's ok but I don't like drawing things to fight. Definitely one of the worst intros in videogame history

I got like 10 hours into Okami Wii and I just wasn't digging it. YMMV
