spurs spent 100m but will finish above arsenal ove rthe season. no one expects new players to gel after one day

I've seen Arse fans trot out the same tired shit - now they are all on board Scrooge McFrenchman not opening his purse to strengthen his squad ON ONE RESULT.

Arsenal will finish another season with nothing, the end of season debate about whether Scrooge should go will rage on - he'll once again buy no one except some on-the-cheap "promising" french teens and Arsenal fans will rage up Talksport etc

The fans get what they deserve - they're too short sighted to see that the club is happy to settle for "there or there abouts" when this year - a year with Man U in some disarray and all the other clubs around them undergoing major changes - that they could make a real stab at the title. But not with their squad - missing some class and missing a whole load of depth. Couple of injuries and they are feeeecked

Unlike Liverpool fans of the last 30 years, I am realistic about where Arsenal will end up. All I want is Europe and some great displays.

Arsenal has made it to the CL for the past 15 years like, I think they are doing ok. They might sign Ozil today too.

When is the last time Spurs ended above Arsenal? 94?  :lol :lol :lol

Ozil is a good player but not the player Arsenal need - a panic buy from someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

Eh to be fair it's one player. It's still not like Arsenal are realistically going to challenge for the title.

yeah, the problem is depth in the squad and at the back - Ozil -is- a good signing, i'm being slightly salty, but i'm still not sure Wenger has a clue. Would have liked to see a more aggressive push for Suarez just for the comedy

Ozil is my favorite footie player of all time but he's not going ot carry Arsenal to jack shit; he's not that creative.

Man City would have been CL champions with a trainer like Wenger.

Right now, despite all that money, they fly out in the first round. Or what about when they lost in the euro league even to that polish team... Good times
