I don't think modern smartphones include stun guns. Hey, potential market opportunity? Could someone get Terry Myerson on the line?

Whoa, I will never post without bothering to Google again. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2013/08/22/technology/personaltech/a-smartphone-case-delivers-a-jolt.html?rlz=1Y3TXLS_enUS523US523&ei=NyolUrnaNcKfiALDsICIDA&q=smartphone%20%22stun%20gun%22&oq=smartphone%20%22stun%20gun%22&gs_l=mobile-gws-serp.3..0i22i30j0i22i10i30.2382.17389.0.18024.28.23.0.1.1.4.400.5523.2j6j10j4j1.23.0....0...1c.1j4.26.mobile-gws-serp..14.14.3037.lJqPtP0Bal4&

That image has been making the rounds, but RU Sirius and Mondo 2000 were where it was at... at least for the UCSC Unix-B krewe back then.
But, siriusly, isn't it always easy to look back and find silly stuff in old magazines and video? I'm more impressed at how many of those things are actually commonplace now.

I think it's terrifying. In 20 years, will our current smartphones look like embarrassing antiques, and if so, what kind of crap will kids be getting up to then?? :oldworldproblems :-\

There are people out there with various rfid/small-time electronic implants. Unfortunately they are all weirdos so the mainstream takes one look and goes eehhhhhhhh

Probably something wearable like a smart-watch or Google Glass. It would be such a bitch to charge something that's implanted in your body, especially if you go overseas and accidentally use an outlet that's a different voltage causing the device to brick.
