Title: Pans Labyrinth this movie was awesome but its all in Spanish

The movie was cool as shit but nobody said it was going to be in subtitles WTF!!! Go see it tho if you can stand reading subs its worth it. Peoples faces get smashed in with bottles weird sci fi creature fairy tale. kinda reminded me of Narnia with blood and real violence.

I really really wanted to see it, and I probably will but I want to enjoy the beauty of the screen instead of reading the whole time.

yep subtitles all the way through. it was still worth seeing tho. not alot of dialoge so you dont miss alot of the imagery

My wife and I saw Pan's Labyrinth yesterday at one of our local art house theaters, and you could pick out the non-regulars right away. Once the film started and Spanish dialogue came out of the actors' mouths, a couple of college kids next to us started complaining about havin to read, and got up and left in disgust.... same thing happened with Volver...

We're planning on seeing Letters from Iwo Jima later today at the Egyptian, this absolutely gorgeous one screen theatre in Seattle, cannot wait.

I have no problem with subtitled movies at all, but I do find myself either missing the subs or missing the movie when I'm trying to read them. I can definitely understand people not liking subbed movies at all, as there really is a lot more conscious thought that needs to go on when you're watching the movie, and some people just like to kick their feet up and relax to the experience onscreen.
