Title: It's The Shitty Games Thread
Post by: Eel O'Brian on January 13, 2007, 11:42:39 PM
I bought Airborne Troops:  Countdown To D-Day this evening for five bucks, to feed my WWII games sickness.  It's sitting on my coffee table, unopened.  I'm actually kind of scared to open it.  I KNOW it's going to be terrible, even the screenshots on the back are empty of the promise of fun.  But, is it going to be PAINFULLY bad, or HILARIOUSLY bad?

the suspense is palpable

What games have you purchased that you knew were going to be terrible, but bought them anyway?  And why did you buy them?

Tony Hawk's Project 8 PSP

it was terrible :(

I traded it for Mario Kart Double Dash

which is also terrible :(

I am batting 0/2

I didn't know they were gonna suck! I liked the demo of Project 8 for the three-sitty and the clerk insisted it had no load time issues as well as great graphics on the PSP. Neither were true, so I took it back and got Mario Kart DD for the GC instead, which I remembered enjoying on a Target kiosk way back when. This time, memory failed me; it sucked total ass. :(

I had a gut feelign that Pikmin was gonna suck but I WANTED it to be good so bad.  Granted this is when I didn't visit forums, or what have you.

Ugh honestly besides Shadow the Hedgehog it's the first game I stopped playing after one day, but at least I rented Shadow

I would nominate ICO as a shitty game, but that would be an insult to the shitty games already mentioned in this thread!

I swear it feels like they are deliberately trying to fuck up the Tony Hawk series.

I bought Shaq-Fu knowing it would be shitty, but in my defense it was only $2 at a used book store.

The DS Project Sk8land wasn't too bad though.  Was Downhill Jam on DS any good?  I like SSX a lot...
