Lately at work after having my dinner I light a cigarrete and take a walk outside, Its quite relaxing, the fakefall breeze, the city noises and lights, feels good man.
Anyone here ever do this on the regular?
-
Yes. I'm going to go for a walk in about an hour. Night walks are a tradition for me.
-
I live on a lake (actually a tidal estuary) so yes, I do
-
I'm usually too tired from work, but I go when I can.
-
I can't do walks for some reason. I like riding bicycles or motorcycles though for the same reason. Cool air, lights, nature and relaxation.
-
I try to walk around my neighborhood every day for half an hour or so... Sunday I made the mistake of going around 2 in the afternoon and had to cut down a side street to avoid a family that was out walking around. I need exercise, not to talk to people.
-
Only after pre-emptively informing the police of my route.
-
Much more often since getting a dog, yeah.
-
My dog loves going on walks so yes.
-
I take 3-4 short walks per day, two are two and from the ferry I get to work, but they're nice quiet walks which is nice. Then I try to take a 10-15min walk for lunch as well so I can get away from the shit I have to deal with and just look at stuff going on around me.
If I had a dog I'd walk all the time, one of the things I love about visiting my parents is talking their dog for a walk.
-
Not really but I wish I did (besides walking my dogs). By the time I've recovered from work and caught up on all the home stuff its dark and don't really feel like walking around my neighborhood at night
Plus I usually have trouble just walking. If I have a goal or place I can walk for a long time easily, but just walking around with no real objective? After about 10 minutes I find myself back home thinking "well shit, now where do I go?"
-
no i play videogames
-
Bike rides usually...
-
no, my legs are tired enough from weight lifting, plyos and basketball
-
Who needs walks when you can just masturbate?
-
I take at least one longer walk every day. It's the best way for me to keep in shape and get some alone time.
-
I take my time walking to/from the subway on my way home from work. I took a lot more walks to collect my thoughts during the summer. There's a quite serene path around the ocean right next to my building.
-
Usually every night after dinner and some alcohol.
-
I have a 2.6 km walk to work, then 2.6 km back.
Also I love hiking so I've been on some longer walks like 25km in the highlands.
-
I used to go on midnight walks when I had insomnia a while back. I live in a small town that effectively shuts down at 7pm, so the streets are empty and most lights are out. Had some fun spotting all the hedgehogs, martens and cats scurrying around.
-
Thats really cool, love to walk around when its deserted.
Sunday morning is prime time for that. Nothing out on the streets then.
-
Gonna add music to my walk tonight, wonder how long till I get mugged...:dominicancry
-
walking around manhattan is one of my favorite things to do.
there's just so much to see
-
Run, don't walk.
-
I run on my own, but go for walks with my wife and daughter.
-
I usually walk throughout my break at work, there's a nice park near my working place so I get some fresh air and something green to see for half an hour. Also generally love walking with headphones on the weekends.
-
i go on walks quite regularly, usually two or three times a week (down from 4) and they length ranges between two to six miles. usually i do it during my off days from working out but there is nothing more relaxing to me than a nice walk in the woods with absolutely no electronics besides my
cellflip phone.
-
I've been walking home from work on occasion lately (3 miles), I should probably cut that out soon-ish though as its a bigg-ish city (through downtown Minneapolis) and I get off work pretty late.
gotta say though, I've been liking it a lot.
-
yep, I generally go walking in the woods though. It's very relaxing and helps get ya mind right!

Took this a couple days ago on one of our strolls.

Yes.
I also find shit on my journey which makes it rewarding.

Like dead bodies? Because I always loss shit on my journey.

Going on walks is really nice. Whenever I can, I try to walk; it introduces a different perspective than when driving, or even riding a bike. I notice a lot of things in my neighborhood which I'd never seen, whenever I walk.
-
My dog loves going on walks so yes.
.
But seriously when I didn't have my dog for awhile I stopped taking walks and realized how much the process of just going outside and moving helped me.

I'm basically living at my school at the moment and I need to get out of here every day after my classes are over, otherwise I'd snap. This place is in the middle of nowhere in the countryside so all I see on my walks are fields and farmhouses but I'm beginning to like this type of environment for long walks, much more calming than in a city. I can spend two hours just walking here. I hope the winter won't be too cold and the roads too icy, I can't manage without my daily walks.
Also I spend almost no time online anymore because I walk so much and rest of the time I have other stuff to do, how the fuck did that happen? Used to be I didn't have time for exercise because I was online so much.

Probably gonna cut back on my walls a bit after last night.
