Can't wait to skip this. Peter Jackson made the memorable childhood tale that I've read half a dozen times and grew up on into a boring snooze fest. Hopefully it bombs.
-
Looks potentially a lot better than the first part (all exposition, why is this three movies etc)
Evangeline Lilly :mouf

Looks great. Fuck Himu.
-
I'll be there to see it opening weekend. :rock
Hopefully it bombs.
It won't.

The Hobbit was pretty meh so I don't see how this will be better.
-
I enjoyed The Hobbit more than the LOTR movies so will definitely check this out.
-
still haven't seen the first one. I saw each of the LOTR films at least 2 times in the theater (ROTK 4 times).
can't get over the fact that a 400 page children's book has been turned into a three film trilogy. Utterly pathetic.

I don't think this is gonna make as much money after the first one :larry

Michael Bay made a quadrilogy out of a action figure commercial, George Lucas made a sextilogy out of a an episode of Flash Gordon and a copy of Hero With a Thousand Faces, get over it. :patel

saw the first one in theaters at 48 fps
will skip this one and the sequel. was utter garbage. my time is worth more than these films
-
I will say that I'm somewhat glad that I've heard the first film is kinda goofy and childish. I had thought Jackson would turn it into LOTR 2.0. That being said, the trailer for the sequel looks exactly like LOTR 2.0...

The Hobbit had dwarf songs in it, come on.

The Hobbit Trilogy is LOTR 2.0, deal with it childhood nostalgiafegs.

Will likely just re-watch my copies of LOTR Extended Editions, copped from Howard Alan Treesong. Thanks again!
