I've read this multiple times and I still don't understand what the point is

"Come up with a good idea and Square Enix will figure out if it's good and use Indiegogo to give it to a team and profit maybe"

This is basically what everyone was afraid of when Kickstarter/Indidegogo really took off: that big publishers would insert themselves into the process, take an idea, let the fans put up the money, and then shave off a slice of the profits once its released. It's an utter joke and I hope no one supports this farce.
