Title: Would you like a preview of console downloads on launch day?

Try getting windows 8.1 right now :lol

Three hours, only around 35% done - and it's only a 2.11GB file :lol

Oh man, I cannot wait to read the rage posts on Nov 15 and Nov 22 :lol

weird

I downloaded twice the full Windows 8 Pro and both times it was faster than an hour

I think it's around 4gb or so

Xbone owners won't need to worry about that since it has the backing of the infinite power of the cloud.

PS4 owners are going to be fucked.  Anytime I tried to download anything on my PS3 or Vita, the speed could best be described as "glacial" in spite of my internet 5-6 MB/s download speeds confirmed by speedtest.

I've gotten a lot of questions about an ISO version of the upgrader, but that doesn't exist: Those who have access to an MSDN or TechNET subscription can install Windows 8.1 in that fashion, as can those who purchase a Full Windows 8.1 product online or on DVD.

This is why patches shouldn't be allowed, it just encourages the lazy developers. They'll never reach Nintendo's level until they realize they need to get it right the first time, every time.

I also had issues both with Windows 8.1 and iOS7 yesterday. Speeds were alright, but I kept getting timeouts.

between XB1's day one system update and games coming in at over 50gigs (allegedly NBA2k14 is 60gigs!), yeah, I'm sure everything will be fine.
