It's not even good. Might as well put on a fake long nose and a plastic knife-through-the-head and say that you're a dead jew from the Holocaust. :mollywater

Correct assumption.  Had to look to find one that didn't actually show "distinguished black fellows" on it as I just don't like that word.

So you like the scene, but you don't like the word, but you didn't want to post a full capture of the scene ???

Where did I say I liked the scene? I find it uncomfortable.  I don't like that word, and don't like seeing it used in entertainment for any purposes.  YMMV.

You'll get over it once you fuck a black person that wants you to scream it at them in bed.

Get someone fired for an unrelated, but ignorant stunt. Now she'll be even more bitter towards darkies and liberals. Good job, internet.

homeless :lol

its not closed-minded to shit on someone whos clearly an asshole. oh noes now customers wont have to deal with a shitty racist when they go to her former place of employment! how terrible

she chose to use social media to show the world her ass; she paid the price. stop acting like the people who got mad at her are the ones with the problem.

To me, wishing pain on someone like her is just as bad as them mocking the murder of Trayvon. In both cases, you both have a complete disregard for human life; different case, same shit. In other words: "Oh, they want to mock how the Martin family's life have been ruined? Let's ruin there's!" You are essentially perpetuating the same cycle of ignorance and pain, even if they deserve it for putting themselves out there, the lack of compassion is stiffening.

Title: Re: This week in racism: Zimmerman/Martin halloween costume edition
Post by: Himu on October 30, 2013, 11:38:59 PM
Even if it is public information, that does not give the excuse to use that information to harm someone. Given how wide spread the photo was, it was likely she would have been fired anyways. Maybe, maybe not. But someone pushed the button, and she got fired. That is not cool, racist or not, she is still a human being.

Don't worry, we'll root that out, too, and get them all fired from their jobs so that they'll have to be homeless.

And here's your compassion: if she apologizes for being a dumb racist, she can have her job back [or a new job].

No, one person was mocking a teenager who got shot to death, the other folks were hoping she saw some actual negative consequences from the choice she made.

Now, you can argue that it's not proportional, or that these little outrage blips are counterproductive (I wouldn't; as much self-righteousness as these episodes engender on social media, shit like this is how societies establish the boundaries of acceptable behavior).  But what you can't do, at least honestly, is play the equivalence game, when only one side chose to be an asshole apropos of nothing.

I love how people think there are absolutely no consequences when it comes to using social media.  Whether you like it or not, everything you upload to the internet is public information.  Think about that the next time you upload a picture of yourself in blackface or anything dumb or embarrassing you don't want others to see 10-20 years down the road.  Fortunately for me, every post I make is pure quality.

Another choice selection from the woman in question:

Quote
In Facebook posts last year, Cimeno referred to elderly women who wore tight pants and tube tops as “tacos,” and, when requesting that a friend contact her, she wrote, “Text ne niggs.” In August, Cimeno also posted a photo of an African American girl wearing a t-shirt reading “Black Girls Rock.” In her accompanying caption, Cimeno wrote, “First of all, sorry Hun but mommy lied to you & secondly if I was wearing a shirt that said something like the truth 'white girls rock' I would be stared at and called a racist cracker.”

so much to give the world. a career cut short, surely.

But now she's gonna hate black people cuz she lost her job, bro.
