The lack of buttons makes most games horrible on the iPhone. The exceptions are turn-based genres or titles with really simple input like Tiny Wings or Super Hexagon.
IPhone. 3ds and vita are anti console in terms of library. IPhone has a lot more console esque games.
I dunno. They just aren't the type of games I identify with consoles anymore.

The only one that's really debatable is Fire Emblem but it had more in common presentation-wise with the GC/Wii games than the previous handheld games. Not to mention RE Rev, KH 3D, Ocarina, etc. which were clearly console-calibre.
I haven't said 3ds didn't have console esque games. But of the games I have - notably Animal Crossing, Shinobi, Thearhythm, SMT) are things I no longer associate with consoles. While LTTP 2 is a sequel to a console game it isn't the type of game Nintendo would put on consoles. Hence, anti console. The same is true for games like SMT4. I've been playing SMT titles portably for an entire generation. I don't associate it with consoles anymore. Theatrhythm? That would never be on console. Add in shit like Crimson Shroud and the rest of the Guild games.

But you're saying the iPhone has even *more* console-calibre games than the 3DS?
Obviously, I'm ignorant, so I'm just curious why you'd say that.spoiler (click to show/hide)Games I'd consider console-esque on 3DS:
- KH 3D
- MHS 3D
- RE Rev
- MH3U
- Luigi's Mansion 2
- Mario Kart 7
- SM3DL
- Tales of the Abyss 3D
- Ocarina 3D
- Animal Crossing, if we're being honest very little has been handheld-ized from the GameCube game
- Fire Emblem is probably 50/50
You're right that LttP2 is more handheld-ish, and of course Pokemon is pretty handheld-focused.[close]
3DS by far, but it won't have the kinds of games that interest you.
