Joel wishes he was drunkI'm impressed with him so far, this guy is a pro. As he's clearly resisted all natural impulses driving him to run away or blow his brain out.
Quantum Break looks like a 360 game :lol
Remedy actually announced more new games then all of Nintendo did.
GTAV won because of course it did. :zzz
Why are they in an empty lot?

lol I just got a fucking notification from twitter about curiosity for PS4, fuck this industry.

I'd pay money to see Joel make devs and Geoff uncomfortable.
No Mans Sky sounds great but is a FPS? :yuck
Im still amazed four dudes are making some crazy ass space game and meanwhile Nintendo is letting Retro make Donkey Kong with the whole studio
staffing/budgets are usually determined by sales potential, not by how awesome games look to gamers. donkey kong wii sold over 5 million. joe danger sold a few hundred k, tops. and i reckon even with the wiiU doing its impression of david letterman at the oscars, donkey kong frozen banana's sales will still dwarf yet another sci fi shooter game's.

So can someone sum up what was announced? I just watched the no mans sky trailer. Looks so good
No Man's Sky just seems irrelevant; given that Star Citizen, Starforge, etc exist.
:yeshrug
not disagreeing, but it's the only interesting (and new) game shown during the program (unless there was more in the last hour or so). and however the reality turns out, if it does, it's both awesome that an indie developer would attempt something that ambitious, and that the audience is enthused by the idea.
Only in videogames can you go from complete zero knowledge of something to complete foresight on said thing.Let's not be too hasty here, I think we can think of plenty of examples of people who have gotten rich doing just this.
Personally I'm not cool enough to crap on an interesting looking game that isn't even out yet and that no one has played. But that's just me. Only in videogames can you go from complete zero knowledge of something to complete foresight on said thing.
Lol, little bitchy quips.
It's good to know that you can get mad and actually have a visceral reaction to something, even if it is my posts. Lighten the fuck up, fakket.
:heh
Is it me or is the bore feistier than usual? Or is everybody just drunk?Cranky Kong announcement, they're getting in the spirit in anticipation.
Is it me or is the bore feistier than usual? Or is everybody just drunk?Nah, you know me. Same level of feisty as usual.
Stoney has been mad at me for quite some time, I guess. I didn't realize that my Xbox trolling has been putting chinks in his cool, neutral armor. I hope he isn't too upset. It's not good for people to go to sleep angry. I realize that he takes video gaming very very seriously, and that this is important to him. I should be more respectful in the future.
Where's the embarrassing megamix video of all the awkward moments?
Yo. Get off his dick.Guess I got accustomed to the downtime of "everybody sort of gets along" thing going along lately. Then again, I've been focusing on other shit lately.
Yeah I wasn't here for a couple months
I know. And for what it's worth, welcome back. Gaming side took a nosedive when you were gone as far as I'm concerned. Same with comic book and movie discussions.
As long as I live and breathe. Which is more than I can say for the unfortunate doll that finds it's way in your collection.Huh?
you can continue to think of me as a cynic if you'd likeok :goty2
in most situations that's the contrarian side, even among the curmudgeons at the bore
What did you guys think of Joel amd Geoff btw?
Hmmm. The more I think of it the more I think Joel treated the event the exact manner it should have been. Geoff is too self serious and Joel made a good example as to how utterly soulless the gaming press is. It made for uncomfortable moments but having someone treat the game industry like the joke it is - a billion dollar industry? - is neat. Doesn't make him less of an asshole though

This sums up how i feel.
Joel really showed a lot of whats missing in game journalism, but he lacks the refinement to be tactful and snarky.
Joel was a bright spot to me.He did went overboard with diaper jokes at the start but he quickly changed that.
It was pretty funny to see him poking at this generally dishonest and pompous industry.I wish there was someone from EA and Activision there.
The reason most hardcore gamers watch this is for exclusive content. If it wasn't there, how many people would give a shit?0. Hell whats the reason to watch it even with the exclusive content? It's going to be up somewhere within a minute after it airs anyway. Then someone will make a video of all the awkward and funny moments. No reason to really actually watch the thing.

We're horny and lonely.
Maybe Awards Shows are just an outdated format of marketing and come off as cheesy vapid shit in 2013?
Let's give credit where it's due. Before Youtube started to allow Video game videos to proliferate, Gametrailers wasn't terrible and was actually quite good to find trailers that publishers uploaded somewhere-else to see.
But since they tried to redesign the site and stuff? It's just as bad as Youtube in getting videos. :yuck I haven't been there since 2008 or so because of it.
Because nobody would watch that shit.
These guys work quick.

Ding-ding. TechTV and G4 died because...? Nobody was really watching that "nerdy" programming.spoiler (click to show/hide)I miss Cinematech and This Week in Tech. :([close]
