I have been with her for a year and a half, lived together a lot of the time too. Broke up three days ago and I feel nothing. I googled around but most threads say that the shock makes you numb. I am pretty sure i am not shocked. I don't even miss her even though she is a sweetheart, she was a lot of work though. Has this happened to you guys?

1st break up : painful, bad ending
2nd break up : moved onto someone else, didn't care
3rd break up : didn't care at the time, month later i was devestated
4th ... not there yet! ;)

I've only had one real break up and even though I decided that we should do it, I didn't feel bad about it untl a few months later when I realized that it was all my fault.

How old are you Skid? If you're young don't sweat it, statistically the relationship was never going to last anyway.

I am 25. My first break up was a mayhem. I am going to apply to uni after the summer and i want to enjoy uni life as a single man and that thought helps i guess.

After my first and only breakup I went on the non-booze bender to end all benders. Lasted 3 days.

Happened with my last GF I broke it off via IM and then continued watching The Wire :yeshrug

Last breakup I went through, it was such a relief, it was stunning. No heartache at all. We'd been together 4 years, weren't good for each other. We broke up, and a half year later I moved in together with the woman who would later become my wife.
