Title: Why are boy bands nowadays full of teen boys?

Backstreet Boys, Take That, Beatles.

None of them were teens like 1D.

What has happened?

I dont know any 1D song either. How come they are big?

I always thought Nysnc, New Kids, Boys to Men, and Backstreet boys started out as teenagers. I'm surprised to see that at least the backstreet boys were in thier early 20s at most in the begining.

Anyway, I just assume it's because these acts appeal to teenage girls so why not get teenage boys?

It wasnt just teenage girls that listened to it, all those bands had big mainstream hits.

Also if some of them started in their teens it must have been like 19. Compare a pic of East 17 to 1D.

Don't know what you're on about, Lager.  Lots of boy bands have featured members in the Polanski Danger Zone, age-wise.
