Title: Forgive me Father for I have sinned
Post by: MrAngryFace on January 02, 2014, 07:57:43 PM
I ate at Taco Time...I mean WTF..."TACO TIME"

Taco Bell isn't exactly far away from work, but I decided to be "spontaneous". Let that be a lesson to you. If you want to eat a burrito with something that tastes as neutral as DOG FOOD- "Taco Time"*.

*the service was good and the majority of their waste is compostable so maybe if that matters to you....*

I didn't realize it was a chain. There is one where my mother in law lives and I really like it :yeshrug

Its on the same street as a Taco Bell and a Taco Johns and I think its the best of the three

They make things to order, and in PRINCIPLE I like what they make, but their base meat product stuff is without flavor.

Taco Time is awesome, a PNW local chain, and it's kinda sorta healthy.

And MAF, Taco Bell is the kind of place that no one should be within walking distance of. Half the fun is going through the Drive-Thru for Taco Bell.

:bow Aurora/Highway 99 Taco Bell :bow2

Apparently Taco Time in the greater Seattle area is different from Taco Time in the rest of WA, OR and British Columbia. Same logo, different owner and different menu.

I definitely recommend it. Packed with sour cream, lots of cheese, etc. The only negative is that if the bread is left in the oven too long it might taste kinda bleh.

imagine if they used the chalupa bread :noah

I had one of those the other day, definitely recommended. And it's really cheap [like, $1.30 for a decent amount of food].

I wonder if they come prepackaged or if you could substitute beans for the "beef"
Title: Re: Forgive me Father for I have sinned

I don't think any of Taco Bell's stuff is prepackaged, but you won't know for sure until you ask, I guess.

I've managed to have my local Taco Bell make different stuff before (a gordita inside a chalupa shell  :o ), I'll try to get beans instead of meat the next time I get the Stuft Nacho.

I was at a tex-mex place today and I got a crunchy taco with my meal, so I asked them for some flour tortillas and then I spread some refried beans on the flour tortilla and wrapped it around the crunchy taco. :bow Double-Decker Tacos :bow2

Did they run out from behind the counter and try to stop you? "NO SIR! NO! THAT IS NOT ALLOWED!". Despite the three workers wrestling you to the ground you managed to wrap that tortilla around the bean coated shell and take a bite.

I saw Taco Time in the rural parts of WA where my in-laws live and when I was in Logan,UT for a bit. Place looked empty and scary, like it was some kind of in-the-open front for money laundering or what not.

They must make money- I mean I can only assume converting their waste operations to compostable stuff costs money

There's a Taco Time outside of my place, like a 5 minute walk. Might give it a try to join MAF, who shat out the wrong shit for our sins.

Like I said earlier, different than the Taco Time MAF ate at.

www.tacotime.com
AND
www.tacomtimenw.com

Are different. Same origins, different menus and owners.

It's like how you have the Liberation Front for Patriots of Freedom and the Patriotic Front for the Liberation of Freedoms; they're both fighting for the same cause but they use different tactics.
