It might be a good number for competitive play, but I love larger battles. MAG was awesome with 128 vs. 128 players.
Shaka I take it you dont play fps, this is a big deal.It might be a good number for competitive play, but I love larger battles. MAG was awesome with 128 vs. 128 players.
Just seems that maps will be tiny with 6vs6 :(
Gears was ok with a few players but that was slow gameplay.
Which is another worrying fact no? If the game is coming out in a few months where are the gameplay vids?
I think having Titans controlled by AI is an integral part of the design, which in turn takes the course of discussion towards whether bots is a good idea or not
That being said I have a feeling based on your recent post history that no matter what videos are posted or what information is posted, you will come at it from a very specific angle. But that's my opinion.
Due to the exclusivity contracts this game is involved with, it is (regrettably) constantly getting caught in fanboy crossfire and thinly veiled concern trolls.
Biggest market? Really? You have salesnumbers?
PS: It's also getting outsold there.
I'm not even an xfag and I like the swipes you take at Triumph but the past few weeks of your sfaggotry is starting to get tiring.
As I said in the gaf thread, 32 v 32 doesn't make something epic, and anyone with FPS/shooters experience outside of consoles/MW should understand this. I remember Gears 1 being very fun with limited squad multiplayer.
Counterstrike comes to mind. Give me 5 good teammates and an objective to complete or defend. Any fucking day of the week.
Also this has nothing to do with the console's abilities, and was a conscious decision by the team. Hell, non of the videos even suggested this was going to be some 16 v 16 death trap of children trading kills and feeling special.
Its really fuckinh weird to have MECHS and only 6 vs 6. It feels wrong.
checkers doesn't have 360 noscopes

Chromehounds was rocking and it was 6 vs 6.

But you just know a larger "big team battle" gametype or general increase in player count will happen in the next version.
Part of the reason the game is special is that everyone in a match gets to feel like a hero. There are NPCs to harvest and second objectives to worry about, and everyone has access to a Titan.
Yeah, but Chromehounds was a way different game. Half of that game was the "holy shit dread of OH god we found someone ENGAGE" feeling of uncertainty as you and your team slowly and carefully walked the environment. 1 enemy in that game is a huge threat. So of course 6v6 worked. Its really fuckinh weird to have MECHS and only 6 vs 6. It feels wrong.

I'm not sure why people seem to think everything that has a big player cap sucks. I mean I've played tons of BF and that argument of it being chaotic just dosen't make sense to me. It's kind of controlled chaos. The big maps and whatnot keep it from just being spawn and spawn and die.
