I was talking with someone and he said that he enjoyed the new DMC more than the others even though it got a lukewarm reception. Now i dont know much about DMC but i heard the new one wasnt the best of the DMC's. But who the fuck am i to tell him different even if i went and bought the game and played it, who am i to tell him different? People telling people who enjoys their games that their games sucks should get bent.Yeah nobody except elite-tier sperglords do this irl. People do it online cuz it's funny how far people will go to defend their dumb video game opinions.
This thread is gayer than two dudes fucking each other in the ass while "It's Raining Men" is playing in the background.
Yeah i am out. All i want is one thread per month without this bs. But we cant have that can we.:lol dude why do you let them get to you? Clearly nobody else is gonna give you the courtesy, so lemme explain that The Bore isn't really where you'll want to explore your philosophical musings about video game discourse. There's a reason you're the only person making those kinds of threads, and an even clearer reason why they all seem to go poorly for you.

It isnt the fact that they are trying to bully me. That doesnt get to me. But the fact that they dont post in the threads they LIKE and come into thread of people they dont like and post MORE in them. That is some serious special fellow behaviour. That poll about the worst of 2013, we have 100 in the poll but none of them post except for 20 odd people. That is fucked up. We have a forum that posts about 20 posts per day and when people like me, Bory's, etoilete etc post something to life that rate we get harassed. You know some thing is wrong when the biggest non sticked topic is the wii u thread. It is like you are attracted to the doom and gloom. It is so depressing. It's because we're a bunch of cynical fucks didn't you get the memo?
Just incase you didnt get what i a trying to get at, it is dumb and depressing you guys post more in the threads you hate more than the ones you like.
try setting up a better topic, maybe.
what are people going to say to your original post? "yeah man, we shouldn't tell people they're wrong about what they find fun" or "i disagree fun is an objective measure and people who like things that i don't are factually incorrect"? those are pretty much the only two answers to your boring question that has been done to absolute death in pretty much any discussion about an entertainment field.
like, seriously, you basically asked "yo guys my friend likes swedish meatballs better than tacos and i think that's whack but who i am to tell him he's wrong, what do you think, boriquas?"
It's because we're a bunch of cynical fucks didn't you get the memo?Look man, I'm not taking your side here. You want my advice, just take a break from internet shits for a while and try and spend some quality time in your real life. If you're letting this board get to you irl, that means you're the one that's losing, sorry :(spoiler (click to show/hide)Actually it's because it's easier to post reaction .gifs, click the like button, or cast a poll vote than actually taking time our of your adult life to seriously respond to this shit.[close]
Just take a break and before you come back, look up the definition of "schadenfreude" and try to reevaluate what you think people are actually doing here. Hopefully that'll help :)
If other people can make you miserable just by vocally disliking the things you like, then you have some things to work through. This place works because most of us are pretty good about that.
You're looking at it from the wrong angle, buddy. Opinions aren't something you should have to defend, they're like little paper tags you carry in a bucket with you. They should be as easily thrown out as they are collected. You're way more than just the things you like, Damian. Hopefully you already know that.
If you're truly happy with yourself, nothing anyone says should upset you like this.
Yeah but look at how many lifeless sperglords post on OA.
Nobody hates you here, Damian. Is your schizophrenia professionally diagnosed? You should work on seeing a therapist asap.
This is what we're talking about when we say you should work on some things in your life. Clearly your mental health is more important than trying to convince the teeming internet masses that Nintendo is still worthy of anyone but a toddler's time.
We're not trying to make you feel bad, and if you really feel that way I seriously suggest seeking some help, and I'm saying that as someone who is genuinely worried about you.
Yeah its professionally diagnosed. They dont know what to do though. I am happy at home atm, my mental health is fine. As for being unsure about people making me feel bad i am still unsure. Cyber bullying is rampant everywhere on the internet, i really dont know most of you. That's why it shouldn't matter. There are 7 billion people on the planet. You think it makes sense to let every random stranger crawl up your ass? That only works if you're Shaka.
Just stop, Damian. Stop posting and go do something that you've always loved. Play your favorite game or listen to music that you love, anything, and just drown this shit out. Fill your life with something more meaningful than a video game splinter board, just about anything seems better for you right now.
As part of the schizophrenia i also dont really love anything. I dont know if thats the meds or not though. I enjoy sweet foods but i am already fat enough so i can do that. I am also losing my love of RPG's it seems. Mainly because i have been spoilt by games that let you do everything that i cant seem to enjoy DD: Original Sin(the kick starter game)>.>:fbm

I don't think you need to worry about the posters here, dude. Please consider finding a way to improve your situation in life instead of trying impotently to please a bunch of grumpy gamers on a message board. That's why it shouldn't matter. I was considering stopping posting because it bothers other people, not because it bothers me. I dont want people to feel like i am ruining this forum with my topics. But i will take Oscar's advice and try and make my topics more mainstream.

What about reading?

No one is here waiting to be impressed by other posters, we're here because we like it here, just the way things are.
Season 4 airs like I think in a month or two months for the Americas. Shouldn't be too far behind for those in Oz?

For example, I know that deep down inside Oscar respects me as a poster and a person, and I respect him too.
