“Kurt Cobain was, ladies and gentlemen, a worthless shred of human debris.”coming from rush limbaugh, this seems like a compliment.

He even referenced the Goodwill Bins dawg.a true hipster would never let onto their shopping sources, and would guard their selections with their vintage folding knife.
At least Rush Limbaugh provided us all with entertainment.i'm sorry post-grunge hurt you but this isn't really nirvana's fault.

In what asinine, addled universe is “hip-hop” reducible to YouTube comments? Hip-hop is certainly a culture “founded from oppression,” but what might you know of that, Macklemore? It quickly starts to feel like the white kid in the front row of the Af-Am Studies class, droning on about his own radicalism, convinced he’s the only one in the room with Dead Prez on his iPhone.http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/culturebox/2014/01/macklemore_grammy_wins_don_t_hate_the_thrift_shop_rapper_because_he_s_white.html
has it actually gotten worse (more crowded etc whatever) in urban/downtown thrift stores after that song broke? That would amuse me greatly if true. I have no real thrift stores around here to base any trends on.a true hipster would never let onto their shopping sources, and would guard their selections with their vintage folding knife.
Yeah he totes broke the hipster code. Now them lifelong pickers gotta deal with people all "LOOK AT ME BEING MACKLEMORE." As if the bins wasn't fucked up enough.

ha
I'd imagine more 'boutique' thrift stores like crossroads and buffalo exchange have had a good bump in business. they're a lot more palatable than hardcore digging.

jeez
hopefully nobody makes a song about yahoo japan auction sites and ebay sellers or my spot is blown
i will never stoop to buying clothes in a thrift store, the possibility/probability of embedded crack and cocaine residue is more than enough to keep me away forever. :yuck

I even found some dude's checkbook once; almost tried to cash a check but guilt got to me. plus I didn't want to go to jail.

I like Nevermind and some songs from In Utero. But Bleach is the album I'd rate that highly. They're definitely my least favorite of the big grunge bands, not to mention by far the worst choice of the "greatest band of all time" moniker.
is macklemore really that hipster? I figure he'd be too mainstream for hipsters, especially seattle ones.

eh, the only seattle 'grunge scene band' I dug was nirvana, wasn't really into mudhoney/pj/soundgarden/alice in chains and the like. not that it matters too much, I was more into the indie-type scene (barsuk, sub pop, kill rock stars etc), I saw nirvana as noisy cousins of that music vs the aforementioned.

i see.
Eh, could be worse. If I survived the Black Eye Peas, I can sure as hell survive Macklamore. But did you? Did you really?
Maybe if Macklemore was rolling with Dr. Dre in tow, he could've pulled one over on you brothers like Eminem did.

Who gives a shit about grunge, mackaronimore, and jimi hendrix
You douche bags need to apologize for Starbucks first
More people care about grunge than Acid Bath :smug
Also, 93% of electric guitarists are influenced by Jimi Hendrix. And the rest is Buddy Guy. Because Jimi cancelled a show just to see Buddy live.
